I mean from the painting in the intro showing a sleeping Miquella, to the state of the Haligtree, to Miquellas inability to finish his plan without the player, to the very clear need for Mohg to get a god to found his otherwise impossible dynasty, to the similarities between the dynasty and the blood fiends…being a murderous blood cult… Mohg kidnapped probably quite freely a sleeping Miquella from the cocoon being as cocky as Ansbach is later, Miquella then turned out to be quite the menace. It’s like saying Miquella charmed Marika to shatter the Elden Ring, could he? Maybe we don’t know, but is it presented like that? Not really. Kidnapping Miquella clearly fits into Mohgs pre established character and is a necessary step into achieving Mohgs goals. Contrary to that we have a bunch of evidence of Miquella being up to something completely different before that. Mohg is not a victim. The man fucked around and found out.
