By passing this beautiful road the viewer gets a feeling of the city`s history. So it seems to be a "must to see" for tourists. By the way, are there any guided tours through the city with information on its past development and so on and if so, how much will it cost? Many thanks for your efforts to present this remarkable quarter of the capital. 😊

@@alexsalemo9137 I think the stimulus and uniqueness of a place sometimes can be valued better by an outsider (foreigner like me) rather than by a resident. Freetown definitively is a fascinating city and its inhabitants shouldn`t be too modest to spreat this message beyond their country. If I was born in Freetown I would be very proud of it. 🙂

I expected to see much more traffic (congestion, crazy driving) and people in the central business district. Freetown is much more orderly than Accra, Ghana, where chaos reigns in many parts of the city (not just the central business district). I adjusted to it while I was there, and actually miss it. America (Washington, D.C.) seems so boring, orderly, & vanilla) when compared to Accra.

@wondersarfo9201 Accra dances circles around Freetown 😂 Give Accra 10 additional years and see where its at. It's already rapidly developing with roadway dualization, interchanges, buildings (many highrise residential, financial, etc), along with the fact that we are attempting to stay green all while doing that. Accra is wayyyyy above Freetowns league, so I dont even know why they bother to compare 😂

I have been in 19 african countries. So far South Africa is the most developed in terms of infrastructure(water, roads and electricity). Kigali,Rwanda top cleanest african city, where plastic and dumping waste is totally ban. In terms of tourism, Egypt has the highest number of tourists, although the infrastructure is still poor in many areas. Zanzibar despite poor infrastructure,is becoming more and more attractive to tourists. Also Kenya,Ethiopia,Tunisia,Botswana and Morocco very popular tourist attractions. These are my personal views, not official statistics.
