I was there for fourteen years and moved in 2016. It sucks! Gangs, meth labs, high crime rate, water shortages, homeless all over the place, taxes always increasing, trashy downtown and about 40% of the city has decent housing.

Fresno reminds me of Yakima Washington, them both are little cities Yakima is located central Washington state. Fresno is located central California and yes them both are farmlands as well

Fresno is my hometown, and where I am living currently. If you are in the area, take a visit. It's a wonderful place. I recommend going to a mall or shopping center, you dont know who you can meet. Overall, Fresno is a wonderful town. I cant imagine my life without it.

isnt pinedale a part of unincorporated fresno county and eventually joined the city. it happened to be close to the more desireable area of fresno in 93720, 93730 and 93711. Yet you can tell the city didnt want it anywhere to be associated with good neighborhoods completely segregating it from all the benefits of being in that area. They did right as if you drive through it, it doesnt look like it should belong in NE fresno

Do the people in Fresno actually love LA or do they hate us since we are Southerners from Southern California!!! I personally think the city of Fresno are jealous of us since we are the way more bigger larger and 10 times more famous in our city of Los Los Angeles. LA is known more and we have more fame than any other city in America.

why would a realtor who wants to attract people into fresno show bad parts? And even with the bad parts, people tend to forget that Fresno is the 5th largest city in the entire state of California. It is also the 34th most populated city IN THE UNITED STATES. So its a big city with many different parts of town from good to bad, rich to poor. Do realtors in Oakland talk about how they are near the top when it comes to violent crime or the tons of homeless in the bay area streets?

Percy Jen well all the rich people live in Clovis. The schools are better, and it’s a lot safer to live in Clovis area than it is to live in Fresno area.

@@kev4850 A big part of the "good schools" meaning clovis unified is in fresno. And keep in mind the city of Clovis doesnt have a top tier 4 year university as that is located in Fresno-- Fresno state. Clovis leeches off fresno as clovis itself doesnt have anything in terms of shopping and amenities. The reason Clovis is more expensive is because its smaller and the most of clovis is pretty much an extension of north fresno. Clovis doesnt have cheaper parts or bad parts like fresno. Clovis only has 120,000 people while Fresno is nearing 600,000.

main factor is clovis is a smaller city of 120,000 people. fresno is the 5th biggest city in the state with nearly 600,000 people. The nothern half of fresno i you were to cut it across down shaw, would be a bigger population than clovis yet have same quality of life in terms of income and safety. Fresno has other good parts in 93747. But Clovis itself because its small doesnt really have any bad parts except Tarpey village. So of course it skews the numbers as the rest of clovis is sprawling with cookie cutter new homes. There is less of a variety of neighborhoods in Clovis, and that is why on paper and general view its better when it comes to crime, and higher cost of living there. But look at the BIG PICTURE. Clovis is nothing without fresno. Clovis itself has little to do, no amenities, no successful mall, a lot less restaurants etc. All those people most likely go to fresno. You want to go to a real 4 year college, its in Fresno State in Fresno. Clovis is living in Fresno without having to say you are from fresno and dealing with the negatives that come along with it.
