In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan.
As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, courageous samurai warrior Jin Sakai stands resolute. As one of the last surviving members of his clan, Jin is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. It’s honestly the small details. Like when Jin’s uncle hands him the katana at his father’s funeral. The devs took enough care to understand that when handing a katana to someone that you don’t perceive as a threat that the edge needs to be pointed away from the person you are handing it to.

The game is great, but I wouldn't call it historical. Yeah it is set during a real event of Mongol invasion, takes place on a real island but in kind of fairly tale'ish form. The only kinda accurate historical action RPG game that comes to mind is Kingdom Come Deliverance. I'm not saying GoT is worse because of its almost fantasy vibe, it actually makes the game even better.

Love this game so much. Love how they hide the tutorial by having a flash back moment. Then the wind for directions. The whole design is super clever. The world design is so good you feel tiny in a massive world as the trees and rocks block your view

Your shadow settings look a bit bright. Are you sure you’re on ultra for shadows and bloom, etc or just ultra on textures? The shadows are lacking a bit compared to my experience, not that it’s bad, it just looks way brighter like it would if/when you turn shadows on low or off.
