If memory serves squirrel’s “jason” was a park groundskeeper who had a cruel prank played on him by kids who later became councilors in which acid ended up on his face horribly melting parts of his face and disfiguring him and just getting it off made things worse. So he decided he’d get revenge by killing a bunch of councilors in general even if they just happened to be a kid the year it happened if they came back to that camp they died. And his weapon of choice was his garden tools especially shears. As in addition to disfigurement they in general made his job harder than needed and caused damage.
