So toonz, flamethrower takes about a full canister to take a charger and the reason your mech randomly blew up is because of a bug where if you turn and shoot a rocket the rocket hits your mech. It’s a known issue that they’re working on. Also the debugged the chargers, a solid antitank shot to the face one shots them

If I can elaborate a bit more on this comment, it's that the flamethrower does better when you're directly shooting the leg on the chargers. they will drop with a lil more than 50% of the ammo used. the reason why is that the leg is the weak point for the chargers (as most of us know), and the fire goes through all armor. just a friendly tip.

@@Nozomivamp That's why you use it as an opener. Stealth towards what you want dead, say a stratagem jammer, and blow it to hell by hitting the nearby fab. Wait until all enemies are dead or hiding behind cover to reload.

Just a heads up whenever you use the flamethrower against chargers, focus on one leg and it will kill them quickly. Also dive when you're on fire it will immediately put you out.

The devs themselves said in a game with OperatorDrewski that getting some distance between you and your hellpod before calling strats will lower your likelihood of being detected. However you also don’t wanna land right next to a giant group of bugs or else it won’t matter lmao

So you are more stealthy to a certain extent if you don't call in your strats right after landing it just may or may not be worth your time doing it. Enemies notice Hellpods and Stratagem beacons. They will/can come to investigate a Hellpod they see fall and or the direction they see a beacon come from. So if you happen to drop and no enemies see you drop or are in the vicinity but a patrol happens to come into vicinity after you drop you're avoiding being detected by not calling your strat right away. The question is if that is worth not having whatever your strat will give you such as your support weapon, backpack, etc. given that you typically don't know whether you've been spotted or if a patrol is nearby often until it is too late that is. Also the marksman rifle doesn't suck in my opinion (the counter snipers a different story). It's just not optimal against bugs IMHO. There were times on Malevelon where I was grateful to have my marksman rifle and it's extended zoom.

I've been able to make the Diligence work with the bugs. I'll usually have to have a good secondary for the really small ones, but it works decently for picking out targets of opportunity in a horde, like hunters (those blighted hellspawn) and brood commanders. Does decently against stalkers too, now that they aren't tanks on top of being cloaked and having a football punt for a tongue.

@@ChrisWilliams-lf8ex Oh I wouldn't argue it wouldn't work well in that situation/s. It's just that that particular playstyle sounds more like if you're playing solo or just doing your own thing not so much bugs with team play and/or with randoms. Playing with your squad mates with bugs makes things get close and hairy fast in my experience at least if they're randoms or you all aren't on the same page about being more stealthy and/or methodical. I play mostly with randoms so I usually end up with bugs in my face no matter what I do unless I just do my own thing. With teamplay and bots it tends to force things to get a little more methodical because the bots have no problem hanging back and shooting your ass to oblivion. So it's a bit more of a tactical and slower play style a lot of the time compared to bugs in my experience. The main problem with the counter-sniper is just how heavy handed that scope is and whether it's worth dealing with just to get a fairly small damage boost. I'm sure there are guys that just got gud with it I just don't know if it's worth all the effort to get there. I do think it's in need of a buff or a rework to make it more generally appealing in that regard because I'd love to commit to it if they can make it more worthwhile to me.

@jackcoleman1784 Oh yeah, I agree about the counter sniper, but my comment was about the regular Diligence. Regarding the CS version, though, I think the most immediate thing they could do to make it worthwhile is to give it medium armor penetration. That would justify taking it along even with it's current handling issues. I mostly have to play solo (crappy internet), so I don't even take the CS Diligence along, as it is, it requires a team to support it. Of course, considering that the devs are going to be adding in the Illuminate into the game, and the snipe fest that will result from that, I can definitely see taking along the CS Diligence (even as is) to deal with them.

The Diligence is better against bots, but part of why you felt it was ass against the brood commander was how all over the place you were shooting it. The head torso and limbs all have health pools separate of each other. You shot it like 10 times in the torso, 5 to the armored head, and 5 went into various limbs. That's why it took so many rounds for you to kill. It's meant for accurate considered fire not just spamming and flicking around.

It's funny how Toonz uses several special weapons that are extremely good for helldive, but because he keeps hitting several areas just a little bit inconsistent, the damage doesn't kill and instead just hits more armor Like for the recoiless, when used should take at most 2 shots on a charger or titan, but if you hit multiple areas on the face, you don't deal as much damage, and the flamethrower you need to direct hit consistently and you'll most likely use half of the canister ammo you were consuming

Im pretty sure its been confirmed that doing the nests dont reduce spawns in general. The only time its truly useful is when a nest is within 10-25 meters and even then its pretty useless

Im actually struggling pretty badly right now, so i'm really thankful for this hour plus video. Ive been active duty for a few years and they have me in a really bad situation where I can hardly afford to eat at the school in cali they sent me to. Fun fact, if you get too close to the bugs they can detect you by scent even if you’re prone, there should be a video somewhere on KZbin that explains how the different enemies can detect you in the game, so you can use stealth but it’s a little tricky

Group of my boyos and I were on Hellmire as it was 100% liberated on Suicide difficulty today, ran out of time, 3 died and I successfully extracted with three bile titans and 2 chargers with around 10% health after getting fockd by 5 hunters on the ramp of the shuttle… rip samples but we did it

Breaker Shotgun is a pro choice for a gun for either bots or bugs, its now my main gun it eats through ammo like a mf but its great for destroying small and medium units, like that bug at 53:00 would get shredded from the breaker
