A longer than intended discussion of some of the public holidays celebrated throughout the Iron Kingdoms and wider Immoren.
Warriors of WMH - the Children of Calacia transcript link (docs.google.co...)
Addendum - as usual, I need not add anything regarding the reasons for the quantity of art used here (or rather, the lack thereof, though special mention to the lack of related art especially fort the ogrun, to the extent what was included here was the only one I could find which featured both dwarf and ogrun outside of a combat setting). More importantly, an explanatory note regarding the (for the benefit of RPG players) standardised Immorese calendar consists of thirteen months each with twenty-eight days. The months are (in order from the beginning of the year to the end, with alternate names as given to them by human cultures only, usually Sul-Menite): Glaceus; Casteus; Trineus; Tempen (or Tempes); Cinten (or Cinoten); Rowen (or Prautes); Solesh (or Septesh); Octesh; Katesh (or Sulesh); Goloven (or Golovus); Doloven (or Martus); Khadoven (or Khadovus); and Ashtoven (or Ashtovus). The dwarves of Rhul have a different set of names for several of the months. Yes, I did write up short sketch notes for all of the feast days for the Divine Court, yes, what’s presented here for the featured gods is abbreviated, yes, I really wanted to include reference to the other gods individually but it got much too long, and yes, when the transcript is distributed, it will include a version of the removed sections. Other festival days not mentioned are Black Sail Day, Dolethfest, Tempenfest, and Tidesebb. These will likely be featured in another piece further down the line which looks further into the belief structures and superstitions of the setting’s inhabitants, sailors in particular, it would appear.
