I, too, have trouble with trash cans. I use the plastic grocery bag, attached to my drawer knob. When it gets full I tie a knot in it and take it out, usually when I walk the dog. That way it is not so heavy (i.e. large kitchen can. For recycling, I use the paper trash bags and put them in a corner and empty either at night or the next morning. I, too, love the read and would much rather read than clean. But I do also like a clean house, so I will read a chapter and then do a "small" like wash dishes, or clean the toilet, not the whole kitchen or bathroom. At the end of the day, usually a non-work day, I read a book and cleaned the house, but didn't feel like all I did was clean. Dogs are great friends with whom to watch cleaning shows, instead of actually cleaning. HAHA. Thank you for sharing your struggles.

I feel like an entirely different human after having access to therapy to learn healthy coping mechanisms and being able to get things off of my chest. Your wish from 2021 came true! You have over 8800 welcomed to your house Mira. It seems the process of rubbish leaving your house is a big stumbling block. If there were fewer steps I think you would get rid of your rubbish more often. If you put your rubbish bins by your back door this might make it easier. Put a reminder in your phone to put your bins on the footpath for collection. I have a habit of putting kitchen general waste out every day and my recycling basket I take out when it’s full. I think your life would be much easier if you prioritise getting rubbish out in the bins.

I think you’ve done so well in your decluttering journey, sometimes it’s overwhelming,I’ve found going through the thousands of printed photos a huge task,I’m still working on it. One thing though, if you ever come across any water left in bottles please tip it down the sink/toilet even onto the ground, there must be millions of litres of water stuck in thrown away bottles that has been taken out of the eco system. 👍🏻 Great video.😊

Can relate to you in so many different ways. I can also relate to Bonnie when she says helping somebody else will help ease our own depression. I know that to be true in my case. I wish I was closer, I would love to help you too. When things are so bad as they have been lately, if I can force myself to do one thing each time I get up to go to the bathroom, it helps because those little things all start to add up. If I try to do too much. Also, like you, I have trouble standing for any length of time.

Sounds so much like my situation. I only use the refrigerator and microwave then use my bathroom sink to put water in my pasta cooker. What makes it worse is when you have pets that are forced to live in it. Mine is depression, lack of motivation, being overwhelmed, and no energy. What I take for depression kind of helps with that part of it, but can't get the right thing for PTSD, anxiety, and that lack of motivation. The current meds for ptsd can keep me asleep for thirteen hours so I don't like taking it

Mira, it is looking so good!! I hope you have been able to find peace in your kitchen again 💚 I’m also a pasta girlie, my tip to feel more confident in the kitchen is to get comfortable with a “genre” of food, and for me, that was pasta. For example, before I dump my sauce in a pot to warm it, I’ll melt a pat of butter and sauté some mushrooms or frozen veggies until they smell good (maybe add some garlic or onion powder, or even capers if I’m feeling really fancy). Then, I put about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of white wine in and let it cook down maybe…5 minutes or so, until I can’t smell any alcohol left. Then I add the pasta sauce, and either a rinsed can of white beans or chickpeas. The butter and wine just makes everything taste divine, and it boosts my pride to feel like I elevated my traditional “go-to” without being crazy or creating more dishes. It’s also super easy to adjust to whatever you have on hand and you don’t have to worry about following a recipe. Then because I’m in love with carbs, I make buttered toast sprinkled with garlic powder and oregano-bam, easy garlic bread. I hope this help; I know it’s not something you asked for but cozy food that you can be proud of is a game changer. I know you can do it-look at all the things you’ve done already!!!

For buying less stuff, I developed a habit of adding to a wishlist or taking a picture to buy less, if in a week I still wanted it I could buy it. Another thing I say is sometimes it's nice to know XYZ cute awesome thing exists in the world, even if I don't take it home with me. It's like visiting a museum, awesome stuff but it lives elsewhere.
