Such a privilege to be invited into your backyard to meet all your wonderful feathered friends ~ My type of environment. Those owls are magnificent. How lucky are you!!! Please.... write another song (longer) and introduce us to the rest of your family. I thoroughly enjoyed this ~ Sincere thanks. Bella

Thanks, Fearless One, glad you enjoyed it. I was glad the camera captured the down in the feathers of the young one, it's quite a treat watching them mature. I guess watching the owls is where I get my appetite! LOL. The back porch is here anytime you're around, buddy!

Hi again, big ben. Nice video, even the gruesome bit where the owl eats his dinner! You needn't worry, I won't be ''trying it at home''. You must have one hell of a big back yard! by the way, I like the ending,ha ha

Thanks, Heidi. I knew you would enjoy it! By the way, we have now had our 4th generation of owls born in the backyard. It's always a treat to watch and sit with the young ones. They are pretty fearless at that age and will even come when called.

It is quite comfortable listening while enjoyinnnng your image wizardry... Thank you for the true surprize ending... 5* Till we meet again, the midget

Hiya, poitinstill, thanks for dropping by again. I just got back from checking out all those beautiful flowers you have in your garden. You must have one hell of a big green thumb (I guess I'm better at growing birds than flowers)!

Thanks, shutterbug. I should've included our hawk eating, too. He's murder on the lizard population, but that owl gets the prize for gluttony. LOL. It's a JVC Everio. Has a 34X optical zoom and can hold up to 37 hours on its hard drive. Supposedly goes out to 800X digitally, but I don't see how you could hold it steady enough even with a tripod at that level.

Absolutely Fantastic video!!!! I want your camera LOL Such clarity and fantastic editing!! I just got a vid of an eagle eating the other day but too far away for detail. I used to feed his parents by placing some meat on a low hanging branch and calling them, and they got used to my standing nearby. We think of them as nocturnal, but these guys are around most of the day (makes me wonder when they sleep). But, I was REALLY lucky to get this footage. It cracks me up every time I see it. Looks like he's holding his eyes to heaven giving thanks, afterward. LOL

You are quite right, Tom. The first owl footage was a bit shaky until I put down the single malt. And, we have so many different visitors I had to limit myself to just the bird life for this vid. Besides, the neighbors are out of Nissans.

@bigbeninjax True!!! ~ So you will just have to have a whole series ~ short stories so to speak. I agree with that other person (I'm starting to sound a bit like her myself) It's time to get into video mode and show us some content. Lets face it you only have to venture as far as your back yard, to find some wonderful wildlife ~ you have amazing birds. I'd love to see more of those owls. Is you other half into photography, or does she just like to offer her very valuable opinion? Bella

If you're gonna ride the bike all the way here, you better start soon before the pack ice melts up north....should be plenty of cold water, tho! And, we got two extra bedrooms if you survive the journey!

Thanks, Dakota, maybe I'll try to include a few four-legged friends next vid for ya. I tried to feature the owls this time since few people actually get to see any, much less when they're eating.

@bellamoonnature Being in north Florida we are in a fly-by area for migratory birds, which some of the more colorful ones here are (except the cardinals)so they are seasonal, including the turkeys (but for a different reason). I try not to repeat myself on my vids, but I do have some footage and shots of "Pierce" the hawk recently born I might can use (some of it's from my cellphone...probably not sharp enuff). As for "other" photography..only if I hand her the camera and say "see this button?"
@BigBen5213 жыл бұрын
@bellamoonnature Ha! After seeing your great vids on the big screen last night, I was nagged by certain parties to bring out the movie camera again. LOL. I'll see what I can do....as for longer songs, I've always felt many of my songs were too long for the Attention Deficit Disorder folks here on KZbin so I've tried to get a bit shorter lately. I like music in the 6-7 minutes or longer range, but it's tough to keep ppl into video that long without involving car chases or vampires. ;-)

I guess I better stock up on beef....you'll be really hungry by the time you get here....kind of like Darius the Owl!!!! Btw, I'm surprised none of my musical friends have figured out how he got his name.....

Thanks, Dave. Oh, yes, we have plenty of Liar Birds in our area, but we call them Democrats and Republicans. They are quite invasive species. If you like, we can have some stow away on a flight to Australia to infect your homeland, too.
