Welcome to VTOL VR! This is an combat flight game made for Virtual Reality. This is a game that I have played many times before and still continue to enjoy to this day. I have always dreamed of flying, mostly helicopters, but I'll take what I can get! I hope you guys enjoy the video!

The rwr chirps don't necessarily mean those radars 'see' you, just that your reciever sees the radar emission. I like to think of radars as people running around with flashlights. Yes, it helps you see, but anyone with a receiver will see you easier. I think VTOL does a pretty good job highlighting the massive situational advantage 5th gen fighters have in this regard.

One thing that’s kinda important when using the F-45A in a stealth configuration (when you have internal weapons only) is knowing a little about about how the radar system works. To dumb it down quickly the F-45 is it’s most stealthy when pointing straight towards a radar source. Meanwhile it is at its least stealthy when with the top or bottom is facing the radar source and I believe the Afterburner also makes it less stealthy. So the best way to attack a target is head on and using full advantage of the small cross section to get into range undetected. I have found this works wonderfully against AA systems.

The F45 is best played with the radar off! it’s a stealth plane. In addition, it has datalink and can shoot AAMRAM at bandits with its radar off.

@@taxemicgerm3829 yeah, the F45 is awesome but only with stealth. Some more cool things to know- regarding shooting AIM120s without radar, it relies on RWR and your allies- The F-45 is a "hivemind" fighter, it maintains good datalink with all your allies, INCLUDING awacs! Any planes your allies see on radar, or AWACS, show up on your TSD as if it was your own radar detecting it, also, the guidance on the F45 is very reliable, meaning you can shoot AIM120s at bandits without even looking at them, just based on the radar contacts that your allies get (datalink), so you could shoot a AIM120 even if you're perpendicular to the target. I haven't tested if this works on the F26, but if you have AWACS, AWACS will guide your missile for you, so you can shoot and pull back immediately and just forget about your missile. What this means is that you can shoot AIM-120s at people almost undetected, people won't hear when you lock onto them with the radar off at all, and they will only hear a missile launched and then a missile warning when the missile has gone pitbull. On the TSD, not sure if you noticed, but you can see where your allies lock onto, it will show a blue line (i believe) from the ally to the enemy they're locking on. Another thing- the symbology on the TSD: A plane showing 1 red line to the front of it means it's not emitting (radar off), if it has 3 lines however, it's emitting (radar on)

Vapor cones doesn’t always mean the plane is supersonic. Its just condensation due to an area of low pressure. Can be caused by high humidity at lower speeds as well. Sure it may be more common supersonic but they do happen subsonic as well

Honestly, I would highly recommend it! This game has certainly been one of my most favorites to play on my Oculus. It can be a bit pricey but in my opinion it is well worth it!
