Welcome back! Mid-July to mid-August is the hottest and most humid time of the year in PV. I'm up north assisting my sister with my 93-year old mother but will be back in September. Hopefully, we can meet face to face once I am back. BTW, go by La Tostaderia on Inturbide just down from the church and have a great breakfast or lunch. Great food at good prices. Tell him John says hi.

would recommend checking out craigslist, airbnb, vivaanuncios, segunda mano, or immuebles 24/7 for places to stay. Or walking around town and looking for "for rent" signs--thats probably the best option :)

We built a home in Tulum and planned on moving there in August, but the sargassum has changed our plans. We are going to take a detour through Las Vegas for a year or so and then think about heading back to Mexico for a long stay. Right now, we just can’t deal with the seaweed. We are praying the government and scientists who are working so hard on the problem come up with a solution. And soon! Miss you, Mexico!

Now that you’re back you guys need to go an explorer the rural places around Vallarta. I recommend you Mascota Jalisco is like 1 hour and 30 minutes. You guys will love the place and their people. The people there make you feel like at home.

Great choice and totally a 180° change from mexico city. You guys need to go to Nuevo Vallarta (Sayulita, Punta Mita, Rincon de Guayabitos, etc...) is not that far from Puerto Vallarta. Hope the best for you 2 and I'll keep waiting for those amazing videos. Peace and love and always con todo.

I am likely 40= years older then you two, but my first trip to Mexico was to Acapuclo. I ended up there so often, I even referred to ACA as my second home (Number 1 is Toronto) so I understand your meaning when you say that PV is your home. Buena suerte.. (I have never been where you are. CDMX and Veracruz are my favorite alternatives.) My fave pals are in San Luis y San Pedro.

You guys are the best!! I hear ya, when you talk about that sense of community. We got the same vibe from Sayulita, at a gym called Quilombo. Amazing vibe, where they welcomed us with open arms, spoke just enough Spanglish for us to try to learn more Spanish words, and build lasting friendships. It’s a sense of community that keeps people feeling connected, and that they are all apart of something. For some amazing yoga in PV, check out Davannayoga, she’s got another great community going.

Love Vallarta...i'm from Ixtapa Zihuatanejo (are two places but is the same tourist destination) and are very alike, both have a modern area with the big resorts and also have the traditional area to chill and walk, hope some day you can blog from Ixtapa and Zihua.
