As soon as I saw the clip of Tenma berating the CEO, I KNEW that phase really was different. It might not be the idol conpany he wanted but Sakana can't say he doesn't have something genuinely special on his hands. There aren't many business types I like but I have to respect the work that's clearly gone into phase connect and the apparent willingness of management to give the talent enough freedom to let their personalities come through. It's actually impressive the tightrope management is walking keeping the talent out of trouble whilst not smothering their creativity. The fans also seem way less unhinged and creepy. I hope this eventually leads to more male collabs and maybe even male talent in future but one thing at a time!
