It was great. I'm 70, now there are homeless people at every traffic light begging, although there are jobs galore. Not like it used to be, but what is? lol. (Lots of pot shops now.)

I went to school there first grade to 12th grade and moved out because of my then the man challenges and I met a man from New Hampshire and moved to I miss my hometown p a lot a lot and my friends that I used to hang out with they're no longer around anymore but I have family there then I would like to see and be with

There are several vital business districts in Pittsfield and a lot of small local businesses doing well. North Street where he's walking has the highest taxes of all the business zones so it has the empty shops. It doesn't have the traffic it once had, city businesses are more dispersed than they were 50 years ago. Everyone here knows this but they haven't fixed it yet. Maybe politicians are allergic to something about lowering taxes, lol.

Should see how dirty it is now. Garbage all over side streets and some main streets. Homeless and drug paraphernalia all along wahconah st and state parks. The apt rentals are astronomical in bad areas and unattainable in the tiny good areas. All jobs are service industy and most pay is minimum wage. GE left, VCA Greylock left, Eaton Paper Co left as well as other higher paying jobs. That 51 thousand a year was 2 incomes in same home which is low for cost in this city. I own my house which is the only reason im here. If i was a renter i would leave without a doubt.
