Though it sounds kinda dumb at first, I believe there is a reason the spin dash has to be unlocked. First, it just makes the drop dash completely obsolete. And second, it's just straight up broken. You can skip like half of the platforming challenges on Chaos Island with it. While the platforming may be hit or miss on Chaos, you can definitely admit that is how it's intended to be played.

I really loved Rhea Island. I don’t know why, but it felt like what the levels were actually supposed to control like, and the story and characterization had me addicted. When I was on Chaos Island, I didn’t even mind the bad design at all because I was just so excited to get more of the story! Playing it a second time though, yeah there’s a lot of issues. I still like Rhea Island though.

I would deadass rather play through forces again than touch frontiers again you dont play that game, you watch it, the game is automated up the ass and only fun when i use janky BS to boost up slopes and fly across the map to get objectives in unintended ways the boss fights are also way too easy, although im not deaf i do think the boss fight music for the first 3 of em is real good some of the best even but that aint enough for me to stomach the boredom of traversing the open worlds and cyberspace is an insult, they turned all my favourite levels into green hill, this sucks. also the game doesnt have a plot absolutely nothing happens in the story, the entire story is the characters saying "we're gonna be better" and then ranting about the good ol days like theyre on their deathbeds which lets be honest they aint far from, soon tails will be old enough to be put in a home sorry little guy fox years tick by fast I should know im one of em.

the boss fights could have been hard if they actually scaled the boss fights to sonic level they are way more fun with zero stats
