So, for anyone wanting to know sound/visual cues, here they are Around two or three codes is when the Breather and the Kidnapper can appear. USUALLY the breather will call you at least twice before coming to your door - I think he was collecting them too fast. The van that shows up is to signify that you need to watch out for the kidnapper. As far as I know there are no specifically fake sound cues in the first game - as they can all mean something. There are two noises that are for the breather and the rest are cues for the kidnapper. Insym very obviously had his mic off. If he didn't he would have died to the kidnapper and breather way more often than he did as BOTH will kill you due to noise. The kidnapper will appear if you talk while he's attacking and the breather will try and kick down your door if you talk or he sees you peeking. The noises for the breather is a bang outside - like a car door, and the doorknob creaking. These mean you need to go to the door within the next 30ish seconds or he will break in and kill you - insym was VERY lucky with the router; But I don't think he knows that the creaking is just a cue and isn't actually him breaking in yet? The kidnapper can break into your house while the breather attacks. So, when you're done - which there are strats for later game for doing the breather stuff faster due to this, it's best to always take procautions for the kidnapper. Noises? Turn off the lights for a bit. Airplane? turn off the lights for a bit. Don't move too much and don't make noise. Some websites will continue playing sounds even with the lights off so mute the site before that because that will alert the kidnapper. The breather can call you while you're in the dark. Keep your crosshair on your phone to immediately hang up because that can also alert the kidnapper. Kidnapper also often does tracking after hacks whether you succeed or fail so watch out. I think it's possible that 1:09:01 was caused by Insym ignoring noise. It's hard to hear the noises without the video being earrape, lol. Chat was also complaining of not hearing much.

almost all sound cues are fake. there are only 3 sound cues that are real: 2 steps in the grass (the kidnapper); a van door being shut loudly and a door knob screech (the breather). the rest of them are just meant to scare you. as for 1:09:00, i am pretty sure insym got the sound cue while he was bypassing the hack, because of the typing noises he couldn't hear it, which made him lose

The characters in Welcome to the Game are always crazy. Imagine having crazy kidnappers and killers coming after you while doing this and not moving your computer to a nice room without windows, a locked door, a nice barricade infront of the door, and a weapon. Just nice open window, big room anyone could walk into from 2 direction. All good right? Like bloody hell why.

@@ramu-silly So, the character that we play as in this game is Lydia, who's also the Nympho (a future antagonist) from the game Rides With Strangers. She's a sex-addicted predator who plans on making the protagonist in that game, Elora, her latest victim. In Welcome to the Game, she's eager to go onto the Red Room because she apparently gets off to gore, torture, and murder. And considering how utterly dangerous it is to even get to the Red Room, it's possible that she genuinely is crazy and wouldn't mind getting violently killed herself.

Also both enemies can appear regardless if the van is parked outside or not. However, one of the breathers' sound effects is a van door closing, hinting it is the breathers' van, not the kidnapper (contrary to popular belief)

I think that typing hack looks like writing C or C++, and the syntax for those are kinda painful compared to modern languages, but they remain heavily used for a reason.

It is C++. The reasons they are used are many, but if you're comparing to things like Python it is because of flexibility. This is mostly the concept of high-level languages vs low-level ones. Very oversimplified explanation honestly, there are many concepts regarding which language to code on, like deciding the environment, the built-in tools, community tools, how it connects to other ecosystems. Not as simple as old vs new because most of them get updated, not like they're stuck in time.

I think it does have to do with age, because so much was built with them including a lot of compilers and interpreters for higher level languages. That being said, they have been able to keep up with the times. C and C++ are cool because they are considered to be close to the metal. That's why they are heavily used in embedded systems and OS development. The trade off for using the lower level languages is that the developer is responsible for a lot more. Stuff like garbage collection to prevent memory leaks and not overflowing your buffers and causing weird things to happen.

Nah the way the codes work is as follows: -each deep wiki has 2 random keys that can be found on the pages associated with each deep wiki page -the last page (deep wiki III) has a permanent code on the gatekeeper, meaning there will be at least 3 codes on the third page -the last code is a floater code (a term I gave it) that can be on any of the three deep wiki. That means that deep wiki 1 or 2 could have three codes on it, or the 3rd deep wiki page could possibly have a whopping four codes on it So basically if you find 3 codes on the first deep wiki, you know you've found the floater code and should expect only 2 codes on deep wiki II and 3 codes on deep wiki III
