The news never sleeps. Timber Creek Regional High School's "Morning Jolt" is a daily TV broadcast that announces the high school's news, weather, sports, & more. President of the Morning Jolt Kevin Gruen takes you behind the scenes to show the magic of how the Jolt's broadcast is put on every day. You’ll see first-hand the students of Timber Creek working hard to bring the news to their school. You’ll hear gripping recounts from on-air personalities, camera operators, and those operating the Tricaster to broadcast to the entire school. You’ll hear from club advisors Mr. Dickerson and Mrs. Hartley on what real-world skills students learn at the Morning Jolt. You’ll see what makes Timber Creek’s Morning Jolt the best way for its students to start their day. And most of all, you’ll see the students at Timber Creek learn life skills like teamwork and confidence-building by participating in their beloved Morning Jolt broadcast.
Kevin Gruen is a filmmaker with a love for media and the things it can tell us. Kevin is currently a senior at Timber Creek Regional High School and is proud to be President of The Morning Jolt, Timber Creek’s daily news broadcast program. He has been making movies ever since he received his Dad’s 8 millimeter film camera as a child. He recently made his professional broadcasting debut on KYW Newsradio last year. Some of Kevin’s favorite projects include being a finalist in the New York Film Academy’s 2022 Youth Film Contest, filming Timber Creek’s theater and athletic events, and being an anchor on “The Morning Jolt”. Kevin plans to pursue a career in professional broadcasting in college.
