Hisako is honestly one of the coolest characters in all of fighting games if not all video games regardless of genre. A ghost straight out of a japanese horror film as a fighting game character? Not only is the concept amazing but the way she's animated makes her look genuinely terrifying. 10/10

Rumor is they trying to find a dev for it. Iron Galaxy turned it down the first time due to being busy with other projects a few years back, but now they are clear right after working on the 10th anni update, so who knows now.

They wanted to for the longest time but also they know how important the right people were to make KI work. KI’s revival was basically one massive passion project from people who love and care about the franchise. Hiring anyone to continue with it, whilst tempting, isn’t the way to go. Honestly so nice to see a big corporation like Microsoft understand that.

The game design, music and aesthetics are so beautiful we don't need this game to look like Street Fighter 6 graphics. I still think the stages and characters are cool looking and way better than street fighter.

The KI theme was the very first thing I learned on guitar back in 96…still love playing it…we’d play it during our sets sometimes and everyone would ask, “dude, wtf is THAT?”…still rocks hard now

that commentator in this game really is just thrilled to be there. not sure offering commentary on 1v1 battles to the gruesome death in forbidden crypts and Antarctic wastelands pays all that great, but that man is just there for the love of the game.

This was the fighting game of the generation last gen for me. A lot of fighting games picked up what killer instinct started. I remember how big a deal it was that its online functionality was superb when it launched, too.

Man I adore how every character is pretty unique in this game and how once you get the combo system down you can pretty much play anyone in the game. Glad to see it coming back hope more people give the game a shot and that maybe we can get more characters if possible.

Not only the game is free with a weekly character rotation, you can unlock Jago for free if you do the Shadow Lords tutorial, and I believe you can unlock another char but not sure how.

Jago is always free with a free rotatión character and you can unlock orchid vía shadow lords

Such a great game. I grew up with killer instinct 1994 and i loved that game, but it's broken when compare to this sequel in 94 you'd get hit and jumped over and characters wouldn't turn around it was so broken.

I wish killer instinct had Mk graphics and MK with killer instinct fighting style. That would be the perfect game. Me personally I think this is the perfect competition fighting game. It would be crazy if this was a 3d fighter. I hope they come out with a new game and this isn’t the last we see of killer instinct. I’m thankful for the upgrade but it’s beyond time for a new game .

Mo-cap is very expensive, so it’s for the best for a game as niche as Killer Instinct to keep the budget low. Especially with the industry taking a nosedive because of corporations underpaying/laying off employees, and budgets being too big.
