Welcome to The Sunken Garden

The Sunken Garden is one of fifteen rooms in my garden. This is a white garden and here in spring there are hundreds of tulips and daffodils. Not only in white but also in creamy and soft yellow tones.
All plants are grown in containers.
My name is Claus Dalby, and I live in Risskov on the outskirts of Aarhus in Denmark. To date, I have written about 30 books on flowers and gardens in Danish, and my garden has been featured on many TV shows. In March 2022 my first book in English will be available. I consider my home (built in1908), and its garden with its neighboring wood, as my sanctuary. When I started gardening in 1996, there was just a large lawn covering approximately 1 acre (4,000 square meters), but today the grass is long gone - replaced by 15 hedged rooms with varying colors and moods. Additionally, one of my great passions is growing in pots, arranged to create spectacular container gardens, which I will share quite a bit about on this channel. Decor and creating moods have always interested me - both outside and inside - and I love to use the flowers from my garden for bouquets and to inspire other crafts that create a sense of hygge.

Wonderful display of colours and flowers, again! I love the tulip that is named after you, Claus. Did some searching last year to see if I could buy some... no luck I'm afraid. But as you showed the tulip in the video, I recognised the flower on my wallpaper, 4x3 meter! If I ever find some bulbs I will buy and plant them. For now I have a fantastic view all year round. Claus if it's at all possible maybe you could do a video on how to create a hole in planters. What tools should we use on a ceramic planter or other planters, etc.
