Although we have never been religious at home, Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. It was a magical time when we would get together with even the most distant relatives and celebrate big feasts. But since I left home and my grandparents passed away shortly after... along with the fact that we have not yet been blessed with a baby... it has been more of a time of sadness and longing. In recent years there have been times when I have not even decorated the house. Finally this year, I have found God and this has made me recover the excitement I felt when these dates approached, with a greater connection and understanding of what we celebrate. I really like your version of the advent calendar and I would like to know more about what you read each day.

Both of my pregnancies so far the first trimester fell during Christmas time… I so feel you about the feeling nauseous just thinking about Christmas! I’ve never heard anyone talk about this before but it’s so true for me as well!

Every time you bring out the ceramic bowl with the dark blue stripe I get crazy flashbacks because we had that exact bowl (or at least an ultra similar one) when I was a kid and I forgot it even existed until I saw it in your videos again.

I use a healthy kind of dessert that I know my kid's love to help persuade them to eat their whole meal. The rule is, eat all your dinner, then you get dessert. My kid's eventually get this and they now eat everything that I make. When i say everything, I mean everything. Vegetables are a must eat in our house. We grow them all and they know they need to eat them. I've got my kid's eating kale 😂. All just so they can have dessert. It's usually something i bake using sourdough or their dad makes homemade ice cream. ❤

I’m so relieved that you mentioned how your kids can be picky eaters because it’s been so hard fixing meals and then they’re arguing with you that they don’t want it 😖 I know we have to be repetitive and tell them they need to try it, but man it gets old after a while. I’ve been praying that God heals their taste buds and they can eat more variety of foods 😅🙏🏽 Your meals always look so delicious!!!

We put most of the decorations up on 30.11. But the tree comes around 14-15.12. We have a real tree and most decorations are based on real pine branches. We take the decorations down on 07.01., its called The day of three kings and everybody takes their decorations down then.
