I was going to pick Wrexham myself. As I started a new save a few weeks ago. I went lower and took York city instead. I have brought them up every season. Currently just getting promoted into League One. These sort of saved are football manager for me. Looking forward to watching your journey pal.

Started a Wrexham save a few weeks ago got them to league 1 by 2024. Ryan Reynolds and the other guy sold the club in 2023 to a local businessman for 3mill. That took the shine off things a bit.

I'm four seasons in to my Wrexham save. National League - expectations: playoffs - won the league. League 2 - expectations: battle bravely against relagation - won the League. League 1 - expectations: battle brevaely against relagation - won the League. Championship - expectations: battle bravely against relagation - finished 6th after being 2nd most of the season despite being utterly outclassed in every match (the Championship was a *massive* step up), won the playoffs on a penalty shootout. What a ridiculously fun save. Ryan Reynolds (or his make believe equivalent, I play with no real players / staff with attirbute masking) buggered off after two seasons and I've just got a normal non-sugar daddy chairman now, but genuinely the most fun save I've ever had. Four seasons, four promotions. Wish me luck in the Premier League! I got utterly outclassed every game in the Championship and am £2.5m in debt with a bunch of no hoper old timers, so if I avoid relegation first season it would be my proudest Champo moment ever!

The welsh teams in the English leagues predate the welsh league, the ones in the welsh league either formed the welsh league, came after the formation of the welsh league or moved over from the English league
