I would venture to say the main reason the cassowary is considered the most dangerous bird is their devoted love of solitude. Adults suffer no intruders to their sanctuary of territory. They guard the gardens they "plant" fearsomely. That moat and the wire to extend food over to her enclosure? Brilliant way to keep this beauty as serene as she is while keeping the humans safe as well. A species of bird that has famously abruptly ended the careers of those who sought it out at home. Zillie prefers to stay home alone on Friday night. And every other night too.
