Huge fan of Curls Rock right here! Omg, you get the curl monster - as my husband calls it! - in the shower too! Now I know I'm amongst my people haha! I do the same as you do I.e. an organic NZ-made curl product called the Hydrating Creme-Gel by Lusid Beauty + a shine serum mixed together as well! Haven't found anything better than Curls Rock for superior hold, bounce & lift and, believe me, I've tried literally everything available! For shampoo and conditioner, I'm currently obsessed with ANGEL EN PROVENCE Rose Elastic Curl Shampoo with its Treatment Mask as a leave in conditioner (I often find normal conditioners are too lightweight or watery for my hair) Smells sooo gorgeous and doesn't weigh my hair down. SO refreshing to see someone else explain how they style AND get their curly hair cut! Oh the drama finding a decent curly hair hairdresser! I've been in this new town for 4 years and still no luck - Xmas tree, downward triangle or what I call Cocker Spaniel Ears / Downward Dog hair styles all the way at the moment haha 🐶 love your channel so much! Came for your 2nd adopted pooch (honestly thought by his coloring he'd have Jack Russell in him), staying for the curly, grey hair! You rock!

Really great tips! I let my curls come back during pandemic quarantine (my hair used to be VERY short), last hair cut was December, so I’m in the market for both products and styling tips for a hair style I haven’t had in years. Thanks!

Thanks for showing us your routine, and for rocking the grey curls! You've helped solidify my decision to quit the henna + indigo routine, which thankfully hasn't damaged my hair, but is soooo time consuming. My guess is that you have high-porosity hair, which is why it has to be soaking wet when you apply product, and why it dries so quickly with the diffuser. Whether it is high-porosity naturally, or due to chemical damage, will be interesting to see as you go further in this hair journey. With my very low-porosity hair, I have to remove a lot of moisture before adding product, or my hair just won't dry. Even then, it takes me 20+ minutes to dry my similar cut and volume of hair. Porosity really does make a difference: which products to apply, when to apply them, and how long it takes the hair to dry. :)

I have thick curly hair...I use the finger curl method. BUT I also have a curling secret!! I got a very thinl 1 1/4 inch crling iron...and I play around adding huge loose curls everywhere! Everyone thinks it's natural because I am curly...but really that trick gives you loose huge curls that i cannot really achieve naturally! Shhh

Hi, I initially found you when you adopted Pollux, but have been loving your personality. So when you touched on your hair, I took a better look at your videos. Well....you have changed my life with the curly hair video! I have that exact hair and have no idea how to keep it. I go for blow outs every single week....now during covid... I'm joining team curly...thank you!

Hi I use curls rocks and bio silk in my hair, I mix the two products and put them through my hair. And then I put a light mouse through out my hair and use a diffuser blow dryer some.

I just started following you because of Pollux but also very interested in your hair video's. I have always said I have hair like a dog. I have 2 "coats." A curly undercoat and waves on top. Interestingly, if I do nothing right out of the shower and let it dry naturally, it tends to go flat. I am not married to any particular products, but I like to use a styling product with a firm hold because I only wash it about twice a week. I blow dry it about half way with a diffuser and keep scrunching as it air drys the rest of the way. The days in between washes, I can usually just spritz it with water and scrunch it to reactivate the curl. One point I would like to make is that I LOVE my curls and it makes me sad that there are so many women that hate their curly hair and straighten in every day. Maybe if they embraced their curls and learned how to style correctly, they would feel differently. I have not however. embraced my grey and gotten brave enough to let it grow out. That's a whole different story, lol!

Hi Melanie! You should try the CURLS ROCK AMPLIFIER. It really helps "hold" my curls so they don't droop as the day goes on...and it's a light product. I too have a curly undercoat.....but only on one side :)

That was wonderful. I also have curly gray hair. Mine is nowhere near as thick. As a child I hated it but now I count my blessings. I saw your video on purple shampoo and I totally swear by it. The other product I use is Foxy Curls by Bed Head. I am so enjoying your video and I am in love with dogs

Yes I use the twist method I don't have tight curls I have wavy hair that is getting tighter and tighter as I train it. Love your video's!!

Wow! Ur video just came up in my feed and I watched several. All of those curls!! ➿ ➿ ➿ love it! My hair is naturally curly and I struggle to style it and keep it tamed. Will need to purchase the products you use. One more thing, you are obviously a southern girl but may I ask, what is ur heritage? Perhaps Middle Eastern..🤔 In any event, I'm pretty sure I'm older than you by at least six to eight years (of Spanish heritage) I don't dye my hair but defenitely have a few visible gray hairs. My husband reassures me so I'm not too concerned. 🌹🌿 🕊 Hoping ur husband has a very successful surgery to close up the hole in his heart. Prayers for a quick recovery! 🙏 .

I have curl envy Rene'. Your hair is curlier wet than mine is dry. I have fine wavy/curly collar length layered hair. I'm on a quest to find products that will help my waves be a lot more curly. Right now I use Garnier leave-in, Tresemme mouse's, and KMS curl up cream. I'm curious if I used the ones you do if I'd have better results. Not sure and I hate spending big bucks on products that won't work.

Try the TIGI Curls Rock Amplifier. It’s my favorite product and the one that does the most for my hair. Watch my video about my hair products...I explain it in a lot more detail in that video. Just start with that one 😁

@@WelcomeToMyCurls Hi Renee, I plan to buy some as soon as the stores open again. I'm running out of all my products. Yikes! I've been reading lots of reviews on Ulta and it's amazing how many people LOVE IT. I wonder if I can drop the mousse and just use Catwalk Curls Rock Amplifier. I always put in a leave-in conditioner first. My hair is fine and not very thick anymore. I guess I'll just have to experiment once I buy it.
@jessiestephens39434 жыл бұрын
@@WelcomeToMyCurls me again. So I'm still on the fence about what products to buy. I know you said to go with the TIGI Curls Rock Amplifier. The hair in the back of my head is not very curly at all. I'm wondering if the Curl Amplifier will make it curly. It is very stubborn hair. What to do, what to do.🤔

How often do you wash and style your hair?

Generally, I wash it every 3-4 days. But if I get super sweaty during a workout class or it just feels yucky, then I'll wash it earlier.

i have curly hair just like yours however it drives me crazy to have it on my face or over one eye so unfortunately I need to always wear it in a large clip or tied back. = (

Maybe you should try my twist method to make the hair turn away from your face. I do this sometimes then pull the front part back in a bobby pin so its off my face. Would that be an option for you?
@saraelizabethdiamond19515 жыл бұрын
@@WelcomeToMyCurls I have the most tender head of anyone I know. So even a bobby pin hurts. Also if I put the product on my hair it seems to get all over my glasses. I will keep trying stuff though. Basically I keep my hair long and it is "tied" back with a very loose loop of sorts. thank you for responding to my note. Also, in regards to your other video, I pop open my bra as soon as I get home as well. Only wear a bra to keep my boobs from sagging too much too soon.

I have a silly question...why not dye the hair grey...just once, in order to make transition easier? is that even possible? Also, i live in Canada, where it's a cold winter , do you find the grey gets drier? and frizzier? Thank you!!!!
@WelcomeToMyCurls5 жыл бұрын
HI! Dying hair grey is a super complicated process. I talk about it and why I chose NOT to do it in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWLPmaKtndqnoMU. I don't find that my grey hair is any different in the colder months....not drier or frizzier than normal. I have a video coming out in the next few days about a product I use and LOVE that REALLY helps with frizz and dry hair. It's something I think every gal should have so stay tuned!
@chrislysne10463 жыл бұрын
I have tighter curls with frizzier texture. When I finger curl my hair loosely , when it finally dries, I look like Shirley Temple- the curls are so so so tight. The finger curl method doesn’t work so well for my tighter curly hair. 😞 on your curl type, it looks great though.

that's A Lot of engineering, ice cream lady! so pretty and full, though! at first, i thought you were going to twist small sections together like ropes, dry them and then take them loose without disturbing the sections. we call that a twistout/braidout. that might actually save you some time, because you could wear them as a style while they dry, and after. what you did, we call shingling. i used to do both before i got sisterlocks. now, i just do my face and walk out the door!😉
