I want to see how my dogs react to new things. I'm creating strange new situations to get my dogs reaction....and to see if Pollux and Maxxie will have different reactions or the same. the fly swatter and Pollux's dislike might be from him being in the shelter. Not all employees/volunteers treat them well and enjoy teaching or harming them when no one is looking. Just a thought. I have to say thank you again for adopting ... both of your furbabies are so lucky to be loved so much by their parents. From rags to riches and never will have to look back. Just experiencing the love they get unconditionally is so wonderful for watch. Pollux is a sponge learning all his new surroundings and Maxxie such a good older brother.

Polleux gets startled as soon as he hears some noise and is scared of fast reflexes as he has them too🤣....and maxxie was with you from a very small age..so he feels comfortable with you ..and polleux tries his best to treat you the same like maxxie does...but as he doesnt know how to be a cuddler, as his most time was back there in animal shelter..he is shy..but he tries to greet you.....once try keeping polleux alone in the house ..and you enter the house..maybe he will try to greet you as maxxie does...and maybe he will get use to this greeting behaviour... I love how they are opposite but best brothers...and maxxie is such an awesome big brother...love from india❣️❣️💫

This is adorable! My dog Chloe loves carrots, bananas, watermelon, blueberries and pickles...yes pickles! For some reason she is also afraid of cardboard boxes. She is also a rescue (my house is her fourth house) and it will be the last :)

Reminds me of when both of my fur babies were with me. Winston still is, but his brother Boomer has been gone for several years. When my son was a teen, he said, “Mom, have you noticed that when you come home from work, Boomer has a different bark and dances around?” We called it his oh boy, Mom’s home song and dance. Winston’s always excited when the husband and I return home, but only Boomer had the special song and dance just for me. Winston doesn’t pay any attention if I’m crying, Boomer hated to see me cry and would do everything he could to comfort me. Life is better with a dog and your two sweeties are adorable.

I thought this was a fun video. Loved Maxxie's reaction when you came home ... so sweet, but he was upset when you cried and when you hugged him he was happy and even growled at Pollux for coming close, but eventually he said, that's enough ... This is such a fun vid. Love their reactions. First time seeing Pollux do the tippy tappies. So cute. The Maxxers is so all over you leaving him. He's telling you all that happens when you're gone. Our dog, Shelby, who looks like Pollux is afraid of the umbrella. As soon as we reach for one, she leaves and stays away until it is gone from her sight. Sometimes, they just develop certain phobias like we do even if it's not from a traumatic experience.

Renee, your fur babies are so precious! Pollux and Maxxie have such a beautiful home and so much love shared with them is a God given gift. My white Mini Schnauzer , Cody, was a very smart dog. I taught him sign language as that was my first language, and signed to him without using my voice and he responded immediately every time. The Minis learn very quickly and he was such a joy to me. Our family all love Schnauzers and I have two daughters that have three Schnauzers each and they both volunteer and work with shelters. One daughter is on the board of the foundation for rescue dogs. She fosters lots of dogs, all have been Schnauzers or mixes and has shown so much love to those abused and gets them ready for their forever homes. You and Randy have such wonderful hearts to give these babies a loving home with so much happiness. They know it as well!

That was so cute. Our Maltese Bella and her Brother, Cole know exactly what time our neighbor walks his dog at 7 AM. Bella will bark loudly for a moment then it turns into the Wailing of the Willows. LOL. Grew up in Wallace Park with several Heinz 57's over the years. Your Babies are precious. Love your videos from Louisville! Oh, neither of them like the fly swatter. This is so cute! I trained my dog with carrots and peppers. He loved the vegetables. He never had the dog treats. He loved carrots and I would by the baby carrots for him. I used to cook him a sweet potato for dinner and give that to him with dinner. He used to jump and pull the apples off my tree and eat them.

@@WelcomeToMyCurls You're welcome with two dogs you can cook one sweet potato and split it. For fast cooking just prick it and put it in the microwave 6-10 minutes depending on the size of the potato. It is supposed to make their coats shiny and healthy!

It would be interesting to see what they do if you or someone in your home was really crying. I know they can tell the difference. When my grandsons get hurt or are feeling down they can be assured of comfort from our dog. In fact, we had a mastiff (who has since passed away) who would come running to check on the boys when they got hurt. Our current dog is the same way. They just know! You can't fool them! Either way, it was a fun video and made me laugh... especially the howling!

Mostly Maxxie and Pollux are really cool about a lot of things it seems except ambulance sirens. Interesting to see that neither of them were concerned for you when you cried ... are they so super sensitive that they can tell a fake cry from real heartfelt tears. I was really interested to see Pollux's reaction to Randy getting the fly swatter down from the fridge. He's letting you know how much he dislikes it, isn't he? It's definitely a trigger developed from his puppy days because it's not behaviour learned from Maxxie. Hugs don't seem to be their thing either, yeah? Our last dog was also very laid back ... happy for a pat or a scratch but no body on body cuddles. Keep up the loving, it makes for a very happy home for humans and dogs. Cheers Roz

So easy and fun. Dip a spoon of peanut butter...then get their attention. Take each finger..like a peace sign put peanut butter on each finger they will come and eat together. I do this every morning. These are my roommate s dogs. They soon learn to share and be close.

So funny to see the differences on both dogs. I adopted a pit bull mix when she was 3 years old. Out of all the dogs I’ve adopted she was very different. She must have been abused before because it took her almost a year to adjust to us. She was very fearful but very sweet with our kids. She seemed to not like men at first. Now she’s the sweetest thing. Her personality has come through which we love. She loves her walks and cuddles. She along with our other dog love veggies and apples. I did try the cry test on them, no one cared. 😂

Loved your experiments and the fur babies reactions! We only had one dog that would try to console us by licking our faces and getting close when we cried ... the others would HOWL especially when kids cried. When your daughters see this video, they're gonna think you and Randy have " ALREADY LOST YOUR MINDS EMPTY-NESTING"! 🤣😂
