Do you have a good dog sitting story? Do share.....
@doreenorbe49853 жыл бұрын
Ya unfortunately my dog has severe separation anxiety so every time I leave he sits by the door a moans or barks for me even if my sister is home 🏡!!! Lol
@turtium3 жыл бұрын
I dog sit for my aunt and long time ago when i was still a kid she had 2 yorkies I was given the chance to dog sit for. One Female and One Male dog. The Female would dance on her hind legs whenever I would get their food ready for them and the Male dog was quiet and super kind... He did not know he was not big though and had bowed legs in the front of his body... (Making him look so much as if he was one of those body builders doing "The CRAB pose" that flex their arms towards eachother while leaninf forward) so whenever we went for walks and saw another male dog he would tug on the leash to attempt to get up in the face of any sized male dog who could have easily eaten him for a snack in a few seconds... but once home... I had a sad thing happen to me once and the female took no notice of my sad mood but this male Yokeshire Terrier did notice right away and came over to me from the other side of the house and sat on the bed leaning his head on me to comfort me... every once in a while with those big understanding eyes he wouldd look up at me to let me know he was concerned and wished me better; *he read me so well. That was very comforting from him and I guess unusual too for such a small dog. Usually I find bigger dogs to be more understanding but maybe he was meant to be a big dog after all. ;) wink. or does size really not matter? Are all dogs nomatter their size equally the same in ratio to be likely to have this ability? Thanks. I LOVE your dogs and your site and Max too. Thank you for every bit of information you share with us all. It makes a big difference in our lives here in our household. All the world to you guys. Otto

@msr11163 жыл бұрын
Wow, that Max is a handful ! He's a bundle of puppy energy. Pollux looks too stunned to do anything about Max's toy confiscations. All Pollux can do for now is just stand back and watch them being chewed to pieces. Looks as if he's decided to wait it out, then go in and assess the carnage. And, during this time I'm sure he's thinking: A: Max goes home real soon, B: mom will replace the toys that didn't survive, C: his thieving cousin doesn't come back and hoard everything in the toy basket again. Pollux now has a whole new appreciation for brother Mooie's complete lack of interest in chew toys.

We had a Great Dane like Pollux--she'd get a new toy and pull the squeaker out and leave the squeaker laying around. She carried one out in the yard and that night we took the dogs out to go to the bathroom before bedtime. She stepped on that squeaker. She jumped a foot in the air and came running to mom and dad to save her from the boogie man. She was so funny.

Omg Jan, Renee, love this Great Dane story... My Indie is a middle aged rescue - sooo giving, so loving, and timid .. didn't know what balls were, or toys. Found them scary for months. Trainer said she has been through a lot. Well, i loved her and played with her, and she would love back by nibbling my jumper ! Adorable. Anyway, as her nibbling (love bites!) got more confident, the squirrel toy i brought just had to come out - and yes she took to it ! ... Until.... she found the squeaker by mistake - thought she hurt it, and it was sooo sweet she was looking after it. Now she can soft bite play and through it around but if the squeaker goes, she loves it all better. XXX

Here's our "new dog acquisition" story & our dog can identify w/Pollux's pain! Monday, my son just found a dog that'd been dumped by his wife's work place so he brought her home. She was missing a collar so we checked at our shelter but she wasn't chipped. They took her pic, got the info where she was found & put that online but for now she's ours... great...so we got her some toys. She looks a bit like a Norwich terrier & Caesar is a German Shepherd mix so we purchased "size appropriate" toys. She took his & he took hers... guess that'll learn us! They are NOT big on sharing... no surprise there! And yes, he's done some pouting!
