Never attempt to weld material without ground clamp attached, yesterday I couldn't spell (professional welder) today i is one !!!

For flux core and no gas, ground clamp goes into (+) position. Small pigtail goes in (-) negative connector, for a negative Electrode wire gun. I think you missed that in your video although you had it hooked up right. Less splatter with flux core wire with positive ground and negative Electro gun.

With stick keep your arc length steady and at about ¹/¹⁶. Don't oscillate either. Smooth and steady travel.

This welder is 220amp not 270amp. check the label on the back. It worked pretty good though. Went with HBM2280 instead and it is pretty good.

How would you say this compares to the Yeswelder 205DS? I'm about to pick that one up, but I am familiar with Vevor, my company uses their screw sorting and weigh sorting/bagging machines. I am a beginner if that matters.

I've had a couple Yeswelder but not the 205 so I can't say for sure but assuming Yeswelder puts some of the same features in I'd say they are very comparable. I do like the controls a little better with the Vevor but Yeswelder does come with a 1 year warranty. From the other reviews I've seen on the 205 I think you'll be good with either machine........ I won't tell you which one to get but let us know which one you end up with.

@@-DIYPRO- bit of a pain i had recently was switching from a smooth roller to a knurled roller with flux. using the smooth one was fine but i thought id do it right and buy the right roller. BIG MISTAKE! the machine kept on jamming and wire would unravel in the machine. stick to the smooth one it came with.

Not with this one. You'll need a machine that either is AC tig or comes with a spool gun for mig.

The Amazon site (Mophor 270) claims 270 amp, while the Vevor site says 220 amp. I'm assuming the latter is a typo (changing "7" into "2")? Your video shows how the amp setting can max out at 270 There are other Vevor models -- 160 amp, 200 amp, 250 amp (Mig-250). Trying to figure out this "spread", what is different (internal hardware) in these models?

No, I don't think you can hook up a spool gun with this model. I'll have to check out the manual again and see if they sell one separate.

In the UK, the Vevor MIGHJ270SHY000001V2 was found to not comply with electrical safety regulations, and destroyed at point of importation.

I ran it on my 110 volt 20 amp plug and 220V 50 amp. (my 50amp plug is way oversized I think it only draws about 30amp on 220v.

Doesn't matter what wire thickness, the lowest it will go on the display is 45.

How thick of steel can you weld with 110 vs 220 and does it state what the duty cycle is?

Correct it doesn't say. Comfortably I'd say 3/16" on 110 and 5/16" on 220.

I have 2 of these. Great machines with the right wire. Ive had a hard time getting the settings just right for mig sometimes though. I have welded 3/8 with it but you MUST run very short runs or you will wreck it. It says duty cycle is 60% @ 220amps but i know for a fact that is too high

It will depend on what amperage you are wanting to run on. 3/32" is a very common size that would work for most projects.

I haven't tried 6010 but i'd say no, you'd be better off getting one that can handle that. I have the ESAB rebel that has a 6010 setting, it rocks, but you are also paying for it.

None of these videos explain the connection on the machine for stick welder shows fast connection but not where on the machine

Disconnect the little stub connection for the mig. Put the electrode holder into the positive and the ground clamp into the negative.
