Director here... Thankyou for all the birthday comments... Its been a long hard slog to get to where we are. Lots of hours unpaid work, but its all paying off now. I will reply at some point to all the comments but I've got 2 vids to edit b4 the 4th of Jan (1 is a super short of our progress, the other the 84th Chronicle out 4th of jan) and its my birthday... I worked all Xmas day and most of boxing day, I'm cool with that its all worth it 40k subs in 2024 will make it worth it!! Happy new year early guys I think we have a brilliant collective of subscribers! 100k I will come out of retirement and show them how to weld!

Now, that young fella Frank, he's got his head screwed on proper,, go work for free to gain experience and learn,, well done kiddo, that's how u get a job, we need more youngins like that showing a bit of initiative.

Exactly he won’t be working for free for long if he’s capable if not then he ain’t lost nothing just learnt heavy fabrication is not for him if is then it’s a massive kick start for him to learn a lot

My dad used to say "always be nice to people when you are on the way up because you'll never know when you need them if you are on the way down".. Merry Christmas and have a fantastic 2025 to all at WF and DTM.

Hi Baz and Co. You are the ones that know the answer to you starting up it seems the right decision to me mate. If I can just give you my experience. Some years ago I started working for a company setting up a factory from scratch. When we started production it was hard work and we had a small very good team. The problems start when the teams/ manning levels increase. Then as a manager most of your time is spent looking after the staff problems. So its best to keep to a nice manageable size and as you say work smart or you will in the end blow out. I was the same as you, loved doing the engineering. Working hard and long hours can only last so long before it becomes unenjoyable. I think a good way of thinking is quality not quantity. This is just my experience and I hope it helps.

Did my apprenticeship 1988-92 as a Plater. Did my HNC at college on day release. Worked in many Structural fab shops in the years after and moved into Commercial Aircraft production for the last 20 years plus. Half decent money but no where near as rewarding as laying out Structural beams, lobster backs on the shop floor and welding them up using Stick and Mig. Your channel has grown on me and I love to see you pushing these lads through the right way, the industry looks to be in growth rather than decline when I left it. Good to see you bunging other suppliers and services as well Baz. I’m 53 now and only weld now and then and always said I would go back to it. Until then i will watch your channel and pretend. I have family in the plant hire and plant repair game. You are the spit of my cousin. He is also a gobby bastard but works hard like yourself, loves it and takes no shit.😂💪🏻💪🏻

Baz, no surprise you've been so successful. Quality work at reasonable price and quick turnaround is hard to find. Plus, you're willing to do oddball work. Last time we had a cracked boom, the local crane repair wanted a fortune to repair it. It was cheaper to buy brand new boom section than let those greedy arrogant buggers 'fix' it. Plus, they wanted months do get it done. We did it in a few days ourselves. Time is money and they simply didn't give a damn the machine would be down so long. They lost a longterm customer over them screwing us about.

I think this is one of my now favourite channels. Great to see everyone working together to get the job done. A lot of employers are quick to discipline rather than invest time and guide employees to better themselves and eventually benefit the company in the long run. We spend the majority of our time in the work place, if it's an enjoyable environment to be in you are more productive as a result and never really work a full day if you actually enjoy what you do. Have a bit of time off Baz to refresh yourself and your teams spirits ready for 2025! Family time is more important. I wish I was 10 years younger and id have got into fabrication. Can't wait to see next year's content. All the best to all the team.

Forget the naysayers or the people who say their way is better, they weren’t there trying to fix a machine for a client who might not have all the money to spend. As far as the wash ramps, you may not want to do them but they bring in revenue and they keep some of the youngsters working and honing their welding skills. Your business is growing and once you grow to what you want it to be then you can be a bit more selective. I enjoy watching every Saturday morning. And thank you

All the best for 2025 Baz and Happy Birthday to the Director. Good point about the air line damage . It was always a beef of mine about lines being snaked across the floor subject to damage and causing a trip hazard. I had some arms fabricated that fastened to the building uprights that swung over the work area, providing an airline through a reel and electrical supply . This paid for itself in no time, and possibly something you could consider. And if you move workshops it’s just a case of unbolting and transferring.

*Good afternoon Baz, Cal , Dan and of Course The Director* 👋 I hope you've all had a good Christmas and break ! *Social media* is such a *powerful tool* isn't it. I'm glad it's proving to be a benefit for Welderfabber ... *Crusher repair* - experience means everything *doesn't it* . Saves so much time in looking at what's causing the issues or locate whatever is not working. *Frank* - seems a decent lad and working for free ...wow....very impressive and says a lot about the person especially at that age 😉. I'll take my hat off to him ! *Track Guards* - they look "tank" like and looking forward to seeing them fitted and working ! Great vlog as per.... Gary .......and *Happy New Year to everyone and whoever reads this I wish you and yours health and happiness in 2025* .
