@@chrisb8371 I was a "Company Man" for years and the Eaton 10 to me seemed better than the stories of my buddies with the fancy new automatics. I saw Jay Leno"s Garage recently in a 1960 Corvair 95 Rampside he bought clapped in his 'hood for $600 clapped as can be. They'd done a twintone red/white job on it and said he loves it 'cuz it is like the truck needs him to run through the gears. Like this he said resto was easy! Just a lot of sandpaper and wiring, no computer and a 4 on the floor with the craziest shifter ever seen when 3 on the tree was a standard. He loves driving it and said it is rated 3/4 ton of hauling. He met a Honda shop that delivery of new 600's up the ramp and said the phone company would walk reels of wire up them. Pretty cool, but nothing like this beast!

My first introduction to WelderUp creations was a featured diesel rat rod at a show in Vegas, but this truck was in the background and stole the show. I love the creations from your shop, but this one holds a special place in my heart. I have been driving Peterbilts all my life, the first being a 1961 narrow nose, butterfly hood, 5+4, and wedge brakes. Similar to the one from the movie "Duel." And this one speaks to me on a level most people will never understand. Even had one that knocked a hole in both sides of the block in a celebrities driveway. Beautiful work and forever a fan of the steampunk styles of so many of your creations.

Definitely a sweet looking truck, inside and out. Functional too, not some car built to take to car shows and up on stands in the garage the other 364 days of the year. The old ratty look is great on the right vehicles, this truck being one of them. The headlights were a great addition to the overall asthetics of the truck. The leather work is unmatched. All tied together amazingly. The story with the truck is a great addition to the video as well. Many hours of blood sweat and tears into this thing. Can see that. I've been messing around with vehicles since I could walk, but am getting burnt out on them at this point. Working on mine as well as other people's really gets to you. I'm at the point in my life where I don't even bother with vehicles from modding, fixing, etc for so many years. I was tossed into the automotive field because I had no choice. I tried getting out of it many times and always manage to find myself back in it. I think a lot of it has to do with I know vehicles so well and that I can't do some office job. Anywho, great job on that truck and am curious what else you might be working on. Maybe that old Dodge? towtruck I seen?

As a trucker I've always loved this truck and the 359 you built. Great to see what you've done to it. Love the old school steering wheel and also the heavy duty steers. By making it classified as an RV does that make it so you dont have to run log books and get your commercial lisence?
@maidinbostoninc4294 жыл бұрын
Logbook is for commercial, if he isn't driving commercial he doesnt need to and only if he is driving more than 150 air miles from his "office" also. It isn't classified as an rv, there are laws that state what is a truck and isn't a truck on certain roads. Like for example in NY and NJ you can't drive on any road that ends with Parkway if you are a truck and a truck is considered anything with 6 wheels and over 10k lbs if I'm not mistaken.
