Brad (Wiggles) has been driving truck and tractor for us for the past 3 years and we've been blessed by his work ethic and attention to detail. Brad loves the outdoors and especially hunting rattle snakes but this time it nearly killed him. Turns out Brad is extremely allergic to venom. The story speaks for itself!

The most venomous snake in the world is the inland taipan, it is also the most toxic of any reptile venom. The western rattlesnake which is native to Montana is not even in the top 10 of venomous snakes. The inland taipan usually kills is victims within 45 minutes and one envenomation releases enough venom to kill 100 people. I was envenomated by a Mojave green rattlesnake when I was a teenager, I was airlifted to Loma Linda University medical center and treated by the famous doctor Sean Bush who had the tv show Venom ER.

@ShawnChurch as soon as I saw Mojave Green, I thought of Sean Bush, Loma Linda, & Venom ER. Mojave's have very nasty venom. I'd say you were in the very best hands & very fortunate to get treated by one of the best. Be safe everyone. ✌

@@christieleonard4359 A good friend of mine kept a Canebrake many years ago and was bitten in the hand during feeding and Sean Bush treated him. Sean calls him every year to follow up on his condition as he has had many lingering issues in the years after his bite. The guy is super lucky to be alive and the only reason why he is still living is because he had the best guy in the business handle his treatment and recovery.

Yes, I agree. He told his story with a self-deprecating sense of humor that made it that much more enjoyable. No attitude, just matter of fact, but in a joking or funny manner. Really nice guy! I'm so happy he's on his way to a full recovery. As bad as getting bit by a rattler is, thank God he was not alone and was able to get to the ER in time, especially in light of the fact that he went into anaphylactic shock. At least now he's aware of his allergy and carries an EpiPen with him just in case of a snake or possibly even an insect bite. God bless!

This video gave me the willies. I am 74 and when I was 6, I was bitten on my right foot by a timber rattlesnake. Ran into the house and told my dad I was bitten. He said I have told you to not joke about that. I said no, look at my foot. He jumped up, told mom to start using suction on the bite, went out and killed the snake. I remember passing out on the way to the hospital. As the venom goes thru your system it is a tingling feeling, like when your leg goes to sleep. Felt this feeling in my mouth, ears and everywhere else. Don’t remember how long I was in the hospital but do remember my leg was swollen, black and blue up to my hip and foot looked by Brad’s lack thumb. Unlike Brad, had a grenade go off under me in Vietnam so have cheated death twice.

My wife had to be intubated on the 3rd of last month, flew on life flight helicopter and all kinds of crazy stuff. All from lisinopril, a blood pressure medication that she has been on , over 20 years. All the doctors ( 9 ) doctors , all the nurses , the life flight helicopter folks and 150,000$ later and 4 days in MICU, SHE is with me . I am so thankful to my creator and saviour for the staff of 2 different hospitals and all evolved for saving her life. I was able to get 3 benadryl in her , before we left home. They said that bought her time. Her tongue was sticking out of her mouth.

By the Grace of God! Brad, my brother in law got hit on his ankle by a diamondback when he was 12. He has scars but he wasn't allergic. But he became a snake hunter, in California, they paid him $ 300.00 per full size adult rattler for producing antivenin. For about 2 years he was making bank, then they dropped the bounty to $75.00 per 5 snakes. He still catches when he can, but he says it's no fun and too risky at his age. Some guy in Ca. got tagged by a southern pacific rattler, woman ER Dr. that didn't know what she was doing and thought one vial or bag of anti-venom was enough, I believe he said he was in a coma for 30 hours, when he woke up and asked about how many vials of anti-venom were given, which is probably 4 if in IV bag. anyways he flips out on the Dr. and made her call poison control to educate her that her treatment was wrong. Well he is alive and the hospital billed him for $580,000 it is on here in youtube somewhere

Brad is literally one of the TOUGHEST and nicest guys I've ever met. As frightening as snakes can be, every creature has its purpose in the world. Snakes really help keep the rodent population in check which, in turn, saves lots of food crops that we depend on. I'm happy Brad is saving these snakes and relocating them away from humans. Snakes are not inherently evil and their sole purpose in life is not to bite humans. Snakes will almost always try to get away from people unless they're cornered and there's no escape route. Rescuing and relocating snakes is a humane act of kindness and is important in conservation of the planet and its animals. Kudos to those people who do this.

fernando lazzari I’ve been working in ER’s and ICU’s for 25 years. Most patients never pay the bill. Sure, it might hit their credit but they still get the care regardless. And if you have Medicaid you don’t get a bill. Just as you stated in your example, rarely does anyone actually pay their bill beyond the insurance reimbursement or they just simply skip out on the bill.

Brad is enjoying life and will tell his rattlesnake story many more times. Messing around with rattlers is serious. My then 5 year old grand daughter was lucky with her ordeal. Her dad was having a birthday party for her brother when a small rattle snake got her big toe when walking just off the back porch. The fang just into her toe nail. She stayed in the hospital for 3 days and never had to take the anti venom. She is now very wary of snakes 2 years later. I bought the CRP section across the road and putting in a crop so maybe less rattlers in the future.
