Slow and steady are the best rains. Let that rain soak in. We are a fruit farm in SW Ontario. Apples peaches apricots cherries plums....... We are fortunate we were able to build a large irrigation pond. A well keeps the pond full when we are irrigating. Shallow water table here. However, 1 inch of rain will do what 3-4 inches of irrigation will do. It is so amazing what a little rain can do. AMAZING! Keep hoping and praying. It will come for you. The Pete is looking great. Thanks for another great video Welkers. It was most informative and interesting and lots to digest on the crops. Nick, heartfelt thanks to you for your detailed analysis of the crop situation!!! I thought you did a magnificent job of explaining how your soil and your area and the different crops you grow interact with the moisture they get. Your in depth explanation helped me understand your specific crops the best I have ever heard. You boiled everything down to easy to understand definitions on each one of your crops. I have listened to it several times now and feel you gave us an excellent insight into your crop status. Super job Nick on doing that. Understand how critical moisture is to your crops at this time. I am sending your farm operation my prayers and blessings for more rain moisture each and every day!!!!!!! May God bless your area with moisture to give your crops the support it needs to thrive!!!!!!!! Amen 🙏!!!!!!!!! Now back to the new truck. Looking good I must say. Getting down to the last few items so it is ready for the road. Seems some of the last items just take a while but you all are getting there. The new truck is looking amazing!!! Close to ready for that test drive to check everything out. Yeah!!!!!! Good video. You all gave a good understanding of the truck status which was appreciated. The crop situation report you gave Nick , I thought it was absolutely the best I have ever heard and understood!!!! Feel I have an excellent feel for your crop situation. You did a great job I thought!!!!! Once again, my prayers for more rain moisture for the Welker crops!!!!! May God watch over you ALL!!!!!! The Iowa farm boy. Steve. PS. I have thought about your crop report very much as I stared above. But what I feel I want to add , but didn’t, is the personal and emotional toll this takes to wait for this moisture for your crops. I want each and everyone of you to know you have my heartfelt support Always. And I feel I can say all of your followers are right in step with their support also. Just felt I needed to say you all have that personal support which we often don’t openly talk about. You all hang in there, lots of thoughts are thinking of you, God bless my dear friends!!!! The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

It’s so hard not to be so discouraged. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to watch. And yes, Larson’s are having a horrible year bc of too much rain. Their crops drowned out. They replanted, rain kept coming. I know, I know; “that’s farming”. Here in PA our skies look like grids from seed clouding or “weather modification”. We never see a deep blue sky bc they spray so much crap in it. Why don’t they spray in Montana? I know Tennessee just shut down chem-trail spraying. I’m not suggesting they pollute your sky like ours, but even if they just seeded the rain clouds you’re seeing now it would’ve produced enough rain to do wonders for your state. Instead they seed ahead of big storms in areas that don’t need it, then there’re massive floods like in Florida last week.

I really care for you guys. You're a wonderful family and great people individually. I understand it's hard to watch it dry up. It seems like 10 years out of 12 ...or more are far below "average". So it's hope and basically only hope that keeps things moving forward. We are a resilient species. Perspective is important friend. You guys have new houses, nice vehicles, and are able to support big families. It's not going that well for a lot of us out here. This series of drought in the 30's, completely wiped out huge numbers of people. That doesn't really happen anymore. At least not on the scale it used to. It's gonna be alright, friend. The standard of living for subsequent generations of folks from Northern Montana has steadily increased over time. I know it's not fun. But it's certainly not as bad as it could be, or has been. How's the vacation property on Flathead Lake coming along?! See...? It's gonna be alright partner. Hang in there.

Someone tell Leg Arms he's using the wrong A/C fittings. The truck came with A/C beadlock fittings where the ferrule (crimp collar) is pinned in the fitting and can't be slipped off, therefore can't be reused, as opposed to a barb fitting. The beadlock has grooves cut in the pipe instead of barbs so it can't hold the hose on by itself. The ferrule collar that is pinned to the beadlock is what holds the pipe on. The correct repair if the rest of the fitting is needed is to cut off the beadlock and braze on a barb. Barb ends are available just for this.

Praying you get the moisture needed for a bountiful crop. The paint scheme on the "new" 377 really goes well with the Welker Farms logo. Should look sharp when you put the decals on the doors.

Living here in Northern Ireland, we always have rain but it hurts us to see others who are constantly in need of rain. We pray for farmers like yourselves and hope that your harvest can be good.....keep the chin up Nick...the lord has a plan.

Hard work never goes unrewarded. Sometimes the rewards (when they come) maybe in a different form than expected. God Bless y'all and your families. It's after the 4th when I caught this video. Happy Birthday America 🇺🇸.

They predicted rain here in east Texas 25 inches so far . Then it went straight to hot temperatures. We didn't plant anything this year . Way too much rain. Hopefully we will next spring. Send you some rain .

Here in Central NY, we are still in the corn belt, no knee high by the 4th of July this year that I have seen. A foot high, maybe. Hay seems to be doing well. Soy beans are a few inches tall. Plenty of rain, but we are not getting nearly the snow fall we had in the past.

Southern Wisconsin here... Corn in some spots is 6' tall and most is like 3' and Soybeans are yellow as we've had over 12" of rain in the last few weeks. Winter wheat is getting close but the ground is waaay too wet.

Amazing that just 200 miles away Mike Michell has had an abundance of rain so much so the the roots of their early crop didn’t go down and now some of their crop is suffering even though their is subsoil moisture. Pray you will get some much needed rain now as the crop runs out into head.

The Missouri River at been at flood stage for weeks. Luckily it crested before any major flooding and appears to be dropping for the rest of July.

Get back to a winter wheat / fallow rotation. It’s the best drought resistant route. If you must go spring crop plant proso it can handle the heat better than the peas. Eastern colorado avg 10-12 inches a year.

Thanks guys appreciate you posting the videos. Always interested in what you are doing and how the farm is going on your side of the planet, I’m in the eastern grain belt in Australia, the opposite end of the planet opposite seasons we plant roughly at the same time and harvest roughly at the same time Some things are very different and other things are exactly the same, but at the end of the day just trying to grow crops to make a living for our families and feed the world. God bless. Hope the season turns out excellent for you.
