Welcome back! A few questions (some might be good??)... What do you know now, that you didn’t at the start? Top 5 Favourite locations on the PCT? What would you leave behind (or get on the trail)? People on the trail, overall. Good or Meh? How many shoes did you go through? Did you get ‘lost’ anywhere? Best meal on the trail (a recipe, a location, food at the end of a long day - anything memorable) Wildlife, any good encounters? How were the bugs? Equipment recommendations or condemnations..

Welcome back! I was just wondering about you the other day, figuring you finished the PCT. In your live you said you were unsure if you would but I figured you did. So glad to see you and Elrond reunited again. - Would you do a gear vid? Things you started with, things you picked up on the way? I noticed you're wearing trail runners now instead of hiking boots... stuff like that - What was your trail name, did you accept one? Did you give anyone else one? - Did you have a tramily or were you good just doing your own thing? Do you think you'll do other trails or is the PCT your one and done? - Were you able to hike through the Rockies? Wasn't too snowy this year, was it? - How many sections did you have to skip due to forest fires? - Did this make you appreciate Elrond and #elementlife even more? - Do you think this hike accomplished what you wanted it to accomplish? You mentioned you were feeling too comfortable and wanted a change, are you feeling refreshed and ready to jump back in? - Were you able to make money through your older vids while on trail or did you save up a lot for the hike? If you're willing to share, how much did you end up spending? - Did you have a favorite section of trail or a favorite trail town? - Was there some food or drink you craved most while on trail? - Have you gone to any hot springs yet since you've been off trail? Thanks, Rosa, welcome back again!

Rosa, we're so glad you're back & happy to see you safe and healthy!!! Can't wait to hear about your PCT experience. I'm going from car life to PCT next year (fingers crossed) and have a few questions :D >> What's it like going from living in a car to being on trail all day, back to being in your car? Do you miss the trail? >> I find that car life fluctuates a lot: sometimes I'm driving endlessly and hardly get a walk in, sometimes I get to settle down a little and pound out miles. Did you do any training before the PCT, and what did that look like when you live in your car? >> I feel like you're thrifty & don't buy a ton of things, but prepping for the PCT can feel like you need to buy **all new gear.** Wondering what you already had & used on trail, what you ended up getting before you got on trail, and what gear changes you maybe needed to make while on trail? >> What was your social life like! I remember a video where you said you're really happy with a few friends and like a lot of solo time: What was that like on the trail, and did anything change? Are you going to keep in touch with any friends from the trail? >> How did you care for your car while you were on trail? (i.e. a friend driving it?). And what kind of car maintenance did you do when returning? >> Thoughts on another future thru-hike? Thanks :D

Hey Rosa it's Portrait 😊 It's so weird seeing people not in sun hoodies and backpacks, but it was nice to see a video with a familiar face. Sorry to hear you're struggling, I think all of us are struggling in our own way after trail, I'm staying sane by diving into my own photos/videos from trail (I've got 10k photos and about 700gb of video I'm dying) and that's been helpful because I can re-connect with the person that I became instead of falling back into the habits of the person I was. Hope things go well for you!

So so so incredibly happy to see you back! I'm also olanning on through-hiking PCT some day so here are the questions I have: Did you move alone or with people most of the time? How was your body feeling through the proggression of the trail? Like at the begining vs the middle vs the end? Did you have any interesting wildlife encounters? How long did it take you to finish prepping from the moment you decided you were doing it to being on the trail first day? Congrats on finishing!!❤❤

I’ve been binging your videos again this past month, so this was a nice surprise! Welcome back! I definitely feel like the east coast would feel A LOT different for those car/van living. It felt a lot more closed in and busy when I was over there, which isn’t always a bad thing. How was the food you ate on the PCT? How often did you feel like you needed to take zeroes? Did you end up hiking with a certain group of people for a bit of the trail? If you did hike with people, what was your trail name if you had one?? How did you deal with the monotony of the hiking and camping basically every day? Did you have audio books or anything that you’d listen to? You mentioned that your body feels like it hurts still when you go down hills and stuff, did you have to take a break at all due to injury while you were hiking? How was your gear? Did you end up needing to replace anything because it got ruined or it didn’t work like you needed it to? So many questions! Haha I hope you had fun overall though. What an awesome thing to have accomplished!

In the cold light of dawn, as the shadows recede and the world awakens, it’s a delight to see your return. Your videos, your daily blog-they were missed, like a familiar whisper in a dark, empty room. The absence was palpable, a void filled now with your presence once more. I noticed the change-the hair, a sharp cut, yet the fleckle remains, a constant amid the chaos. Like a touchstone, it marks the continuity in the ever-shifting sands of our nomadic lives. From one wanderer of the night to another, welcome back. Your voice has been a beacon in the darkness. Thank you for returning. Best, Nomad George

I hurt my knees doing some long hikes in Colorado when I was in my mid 30's. I'm almost 70 now, and my knees are fine! When I hurt my knees hiking in Colorado I did a lot of self massage all around my knees to get blood moving. Also Great Lakes gelatin is great for your joints, skin, and hair. I take 2T every morning with warm water, or tea, or I add it to my protein shakes.

Welcome back, Rosa! Beautiful hike. I want to hear about the gear you used, what your base and max weights were and whether or not you saw anyone in the Element community. I know Miguel, but wondered who else. Sorry to see your knees are messed up. I hope they heal fast. Sending love. ❤

Good to see a video from you. So pretty the leaves there. Try some hiking poles, they really helped me with knee pain. Looking forward to your video on the PCT, I'd be curious about the cost. Was watching another video and girl said everything included was over 10K, WOW!!! Had no idea it was so expensive to do that.
