You could tell that fire reach an intense temperature with the way those suckers melted. I'm sure any other team and it wouldn't have happened (at least to that extent), which just makes it that much more sad.

Bob Saget He almost won at Dover too or someone who was driving the 43 that day I forgot the year. They were dominating the race until a pit road penalty took them out.

Yeah, but probably the reason it was so fast was the same reason it spun. Probably he figured out something with the tires, but whatever he figured out made the tires want to blow for some reason.

Almirola's race still bugs me, he had the best car all day only Jimmie Johnson (who later crashed) had anything for him.

Love how he spins leading but they don't throw a yellow flag. I mean if Junior was leading, he'd not even have that car straightened back out and they'd already have the yellow flag out. That race was just a damn shame for Almirola.

Dat-Mudkip Yeah and the thing was he actually blew a right front tire while leading too. This was his second time making his way all the way to the front. Then he climbs back to around 12th and blows another tire and goes into the wall this time his day was over. Would have loved to see a guy like Almirola win over the Gibbs/Penske/Hendrick/SHR powerhouses.

As much as I wanna disagree with the SHR, I admit that I do wanna see more oddballs winning. Side-note: SHR uses Hendrick Engines at a minimal, so that partially explains their performance.

Who ever thought Michael McDowell was with a underfunded team of Leavine racing, struggled, and obviously lost the ride in a blaze of fire! I believe it was 2016. But this year went to Front Row Motorsports and won the Daytona 500! What a turn around for this driver!
