It's a shame that we will never have 50 cars to try to make a nascar race (like at 2:02). The 2007 Daytona 500 had 64 cars and this year they can barely get 40 cars to run. It's just way too expensive.

Is Carl Edwards' car falling off the jack at the 2006 Pocono 500 under green anywhere here? That resulted in an 82-second pit stop and 2 laps lost to the leader (Edwards had pitted from the lead.

What race was that where Carl Long DNQ'd in the 37 car? I'd assume 2006 Charlotte, the only time Long ran a 37 car there, but Larry Mac mentions Derrike Cope making the field in that clip, while Derrike isn't listed anywhere on the Racing-Reference page for that race. Did Larry Mac make a mistake or is there another race I'm missing?
@NascarNixon5 жыл бұрын
2006 Coke 600. Cope successfully made the race in the #74. However, Michael Waltrip failed to qualify. Michael bought Cope's ride for the race and they renumbered the #74 to the #55. If you look closely on Racing Reference, Micheal's owner is listed as Raynard McGlynn.

And now Bubba's a victom of the no sponsor situation for Roush

Roush issue came from paying way too much to sponsors then he had to cut back just so he could keep all his cars at the track in even worse equipment and then sponsors left. Really dumb reason to go from top team to 15th place every weekend.

@tannermccage5548 жыл бұрын
Why would Chad Kanus use his pit box for Scott Wimmer? That I do not understand.
@DaMan877 жыл бұрын
There were only 42 pit stalls at Dover and 43 cars in the race. The 4 and the 48 had to share a pit that day, and to avoid having to move crews and tool boxes around, Chad elected to have his crew service both Jimmie and Scott. Unfortunately, it didn't work so well for Scott.
@sabbathbassdude84918 жыл бұрын
I've never heard of 2 cars pitting at the same pit box with only one team, wtf?
@Dat-Mudkip8 жыл бұрын
Probably the 4 team trying to get some benefits. Dover originally lacked enough pit stalls for all 43 cars. Usually this meant either drivers shared a pit-stall or, more likely, the amount of cars in the field was reduced. This was fixed when they proceeded with stage three of the Monster Mile Makeover, when they removed all they basically rebuilt pit road, giving a total of 43 stalls that were all four feet longer.

how would sponsorship problems keep Trevor from racing at Texas? Ricky raced at least half of his NNS career with either Ford as his sponsor or nothing as a sponsor
@NascarNixon8 жыл бұрын
Probably had to do with the fact that Trevor was running the #21 in Cup. No point in running an unsponsored car when your driver has somewhere else to go. The #60 car only ran a handful of races the rest of the season, but all the races the car was sponsored.
