If you hear animals while you're inside the house, they're inside as well. Most animals use attics as shelter. They prefer foraging outside of the home for preferred food source. Every house has multiple points of entry for animals to get in. The sheetrock that is your ceiling amplifies the sounds of animals. For a mouse you may hear very little, if it sounds like there's a fully grown adult up there, that's most likely a raccoon. Easiest way to tell is to access the attic or crawl space and look for holes in the insulation and droppings. If you suspect squirrels, look for pine cone husks. Just a little helpful advice from a licensed pest control technician LOL Growing up in the 80s, we had an air raid siren in our neighborhood they would test once a week. Houston doesn't get many tornados but we sure get hurricanes once a decade and lots of flooding.

10:42 tungsten is about the same density as gold. It is quite heavy. Yes it is very hard also, but the hardness makes it susceptible to shattering from sudden impacts, just like other hard materials including diamond, but dropping tungston on the floor is much more likely to result in shattering it compared to diamond purely because it weighs so much for its size, so the impact has more kinetic energy.

I live in MO, so not quite Tornado Alley, but we're no strangers to tornado sirens. You can expect at least one each year, pretty much. However, there's this weird misconception that everyone's constantly getting hit when tornados drop. Not really. There's enough "empty" areas around that most tornados really don't do much of anything to anything of value. Hell, it's completely normal to be standing outside with the neighbors while the sirens are going off, just very casually talking and wondering if anyone can see anything (usually can't). I've talk to neighbors at home and the office far more because of storm sirens and standing around than actually seeking to talk to them.

Tornado sirens are terrifying. Sometimes they go off in the Denver area. One almost touched down about 6 years ago in Lakewood, which borders Denver. We also have the tests, but thankfully now there is someone speaking over the siren saying it is a test and also it updates us if it is a tornado on where it is and where to go. Your marketing story about "sales" is so correct... I' sure you've heard the old grocery store story, xyz grocery was selling some produce for a quarter. They had very mediocre sales numbers, nothing spectacular but they would sell... then someone changed the sign to "4 for a dollar".... sales took WAY off.. they couldn't order enough to keep up.... Marketing is all psychological. If you make the person think they are "getting one over on the man" they will not only buy more but think they "got you" in the process.

Tungsten will never break never like this. It is a pure metal but much harder to machine compared to stainless steel, has a much heavier density and is incredibly though, actually almost indestructible. It also withstand hot temperature much better than steel. We used little tungsten square blocks i.e. to align the electric beam patterns and energy settings for high vacuum electric beam evaporators to coat optical lenses. When dropped, even after being exposed multiple times to glowing temperatures these blocks never shattered. Which is why it tungsten so preferred for airplane turbine components and rocket engine parts. Peace! from Dresden / Germany

I'm originally from Oklahoma, smack dab in the middle of Tornado Alley. It is true that you kinda become desensitized to tornados after being in them a few times. I grew up with tornado drills in school where they would set off the school alarm and we would all line up and quickly, yet quietly along the lockers where we would kneel/crouch down with our arms and hands covering the back of the neck and head. It was all fun and games until the real sirens would go off! I remember one specific time when we were at our families house in the country. Right around the time we went to bed a warning went off, my whole family just went on to bed. My uncle and I stayed up to watch it. (The cylindrical tube that you asked about is indeed a tornado forming.) It grew to a level 3 and it looked like it was coming right towards us. As soon as it got to it's largest size my uncle and I kinda look at each other and say, "Alright, time for bed, goodnight" and went to our respective rooms. The next morning when we went out to access the damage the old Oak tree that stood out back and had our tire swing on it, had it's largest limb wrapped around the tree itself! The branch didn't break, it just wrapped around the tree. The tire was a loss. We got so lucky that it was just a brief touch down as it skipped across the prairie. Lol. Great times!
