Nice shooting Drew and excellent strategy throughout the match. At 16:00 in Rack 3, Will chose 4-3-2-8. I think 2-4-3-8 might give a better chance of getting on the 8. Nice safety by you in Rack 4 at 24:45.

5:40 I don't use the second ball break all the time either. I only use it if I see a gap between the 8 ball and either one of their adjacent balls (but not both). Otherwise , I just use a standard break.

That extra movement, and the lifting of the cue, is directly linked to your head. You’re slightly lifting your head during the final stroke delivery which causes that unwanted cue movement. But I’m just an APA 4.

For team Alabama's Finest - I've played APA league matches against teams captained by Wei Pang, Lance Diamond and David Rowell. Got thrown against David once in a match. I watched him play pretty much. But, it was a nice pool lesson. I've also travelled up to Huntsville Al and played and Robert Hall's poolhall (Bumpers), ever nice facility. All four of those guys are great and fun to be around unless they're your opponent. As for David, I think he's a two time Amateur champion if I'm not mistaken ? I've also played against the 2016 womens APA champion Robin Parker in two league matches. Strong player herself. I didn't win either of those either as I was a 3 or 4 at the time. Wouldn't win either now either, I suspect :)

I was actually rewatching a Masters match against Aaron when this notification popped up. Love to see more tutorial clips, I share them with my teammates. I’m trying to play more safeties but recognizing them is not always my strength. I know you’ve done one but maybe find shots where safeties might have been a better choice; maybe recreate them as a safety. BTW, as you were explaining you were monetized, a commercial interrupted you😂; perfect timing.

Speaking of break shots; as a higher level player, I won't use the 8-ball break (hitting 2nd ball) when playing a skill level 2 or 3. The reason being, if I were to make the 8 ball and scratch, my opponent would be on the hill, and all the pressure would then be on me.
@drewvonporteАй бұрын
Thats a good point! I never break the 2nd ball myself, but even on the head ball break, I don’t hit it incredibly hard. Just to limit the small likelihood of that happening!!
@JR-ti5jm13 күн бұрын
Shouldn't use that break against a 4 either, if you're a 7. They'd be on the hill also. But, using that break against those players guarantees those wins because they can't run those clustered racks.
