To find neutral on Harley’s you have to slightly release the clutch because the clutch pull is so insane. It finds neutral better
@FFL-vg9ro2 жыл бұрын
You can catch neutral easily, just a second before you come to a full stop. Works every time. The little buttons are fillers, for electrical switches for aftermarket accessories - lighting, heated gear, heated seat, etc.

I started in 1979 with a suzuki ds 80. I loved japanese bikes. I just got to old and fat for all day riding on my cbr 600. I walked into my local harley dealer and walked out with a Sportster Super Low. I was in love with riding again. Exactly one year later walked into the harley dealer. "For a t shirt." Came out with a 2017 dyna low rider. There is no shame in your game bro. Its a different animal that takes a little getting used to. Still love japanese bikes and there are still a few I would like to own but I am a harley guy through and through now. Like a good friend told me when I got my first Harley "Its not just a bike...its a lifestyle." Thanks for the review. I found your page recently with your video about losing your job. I really enjoy your channel. Best of luck to you. Be safe...ride free.

Your voice audio is really good with the camera. No wind noise at all, which can’t be said for other Moto vloggers I watch. And you don’t talk so fast that people have a hard time comprehending what you are saying. There’s a few car channels I watch where the person mumbles and doesn’t enunciate their words very well, all while spitting out words so fast they can’t be understood at all. NOT SO with your videos, keep up the good work!

Great video, bro! It was great hanging out with you at Demo Day. It honestly was a perfect day out. Finding neutral on Harleys are A LOT harder to do, but what I've learned was going for 2nd great down to neutral is usually a lot easier. Thanks for mentioning me in your video btw. 🤙🏻
@TheMNB2 жыл бұрын
Some bikes prefer you find neutral while still rolling. Yeah, I know... Try rolling forward a foot and you'll probably find it. Those 6 button things are probably fillers for options not on that variant or for accessory stuff you can add (switches, etc). I've considering upgrading from my '07 Road King to a Road Glide, but they're pretty much north of $30k OTD these days plus I love my RK, which was 2/3rds that price in late '06 when I bought it. Floorboards are nice, but on a 400 mile day, sometimes you need to stand up to get some blood in the butt cheeks and that's almost impossible without mid controls (standard pegs) The suspension travel on Harleys is short, so they suck on bad pavement, but they have their uses and like I said, I do love my RK. But it's also not my only bike.
@Shloopers2 жыл бұрын
Much easier to find neutral when rolling the bike slightly forward or backward
@LifeOfBurch2 жыл бұрын
Yea it’s hard to tell in the video, but each time I was trying to find neutral, I was rocking the bike back and forth as much as I could. Granted, being 155lbs on a 842lb bike, there wasn’t much rocking achieved 😂
@MrCODEmaster002 жыл бұрын
Yeah... rolling the bike forward and/or backwards to get into neutral is what you should have to do when you're "stuck" in 2nd gear or such due to stopping too fast. It shouldn't have to be every red light that you have to rock the bike to get in neutral.. seems like a flaw rather than anything.

Yup, Neutral clicks best when rolling just a little bit. Almost becomes a force of habit after so long to just neutral it when rolling up to the red light. I put the newer HD 80-140 oil in mine which helps alot, as well as shockproof trans fluid (used before). I found this channel just the other day and having grown up in Annapolis and now living in Calvert. It got me sucked in just watching you drive down the same roads I've been down a million times (oddly enough). But seriously good video/audio and entertaining talking really is A+ man! Its great Harley is going after the Performance Bagger market. I have a 21 RGS. I made it a Performance bagger with, Big Bear Cartridge Kit in the forks, Big Bear Twin Tube Shocks in the rear (more than I need, normal remote reservoirs are sufficient, and $1400 cheaper than the TTX30 I have), all got the bike up and increased the lean angle. Had Harley put their SE Stage IV 131ci in it, along with the SE Cam Plate and Oil Pump, Carbon Wheels. I have gone down the deep deep rabbit hole with this thing. Bank does not own it though. It’s definitely a different feel than I’m used to as well! It’s nice having that much support and room for your foot, but the downside is that I kept missing the shifter because of how much room there was. I had all this room to move my foot around, but then had to slide it all the way in to find where the shifter is. I’m sure I’d get used to it pretty quickly though! Hearing the differences and the likes or the possible issues coming from a japanese cruiser or sports bike whatever is excellent. Having reviews from long time harley riders of new bikes is not as helpful to hear for people coming to harley from another brand. Harley owners who dont like these reviews need a check up from the neck up. They werent born with a harley between their legs.

If it was the only motorbike you were able to ride for the next 8 years; would it be that Harley Davidson or a Honda Rebel 1100?
@LifeOfBurch2 жыл бұрын
Ooo REALLY good question! Honestly, I’d have to say the Rebel 1100. For 3 reasons- price, reliability, and it’s a better “all around” bike. You can get a Rebel 1100 for literally less than 1/3 the price of the Road Glide, it’ll be much more worry-free and cheaper to maintain over those 8 years, and it just seems to be a much better “do everything” bike, especially for the type of riding I do. It’s equally at home around town, in the twisties, and on a highway trip. The Road Glide is a far better option for longer trips, but I shutter at the thought of having to use it for my daily coffee runs, short trips downtown, etc. Again, seriously a thoughtful question! Thanks man! 🤘🏻

My last bike was a 1983 Kawasaki GPZ750. I am trying to figure out what bike to get. I like a bike with a standard seating position. I don't want forward pegs. I have a budget of around 5000-6000. One thing I don't that is really important for me is having ABS. While I would love something like a Honda CB500F or X. Perhaps a Kawsaki Z650 can't find one in my price range. I am tempted to get a BMW G310R. I plan to ride back roads around 50mph. I wondered how it would be if I tried to ride with my neighbor who has a harley road glide occasionally.
