So, it's like non stop, no pauses between sentences talking... You need to rethink this approach man. The problem is that they sell 10 to 15 Dyna seats before they sell one Rebel 1100 seat. Harley dealers buy a ton for their customers before they are even out.

Large seat companies don't do small batches. The thousands of people who buy Hondas aren't the kind of people who mod bikes. They've done the market research on this.

Crazy how all the points you made were the exact same things I was saying as he was doing the review. I watched his vid just to see the comparison and it was not any type of real genuine comparison video. What’s sad is that he in some way would try to not seem like a bad guy or like he’s trying to slander NBT, and then would proceed to do that. The aramid pants thing I caught that too while watching in real time 🤣. By the way I don’t even own anything from NBT but it looks decent and at the end of the day I’ve always felt as it is a healthy middle ground. My summary of his video is “I’m not trying to rag on these guys but I’m going to proceed to rag on them”.

Same thing with any metric cruiser with a few exceptions. Like the Vulcan S has been in the US market since 2015 and only 2 years ago Mustang finally made a mold for a seat. Want some handlebars? You'll have to reach out to a company in the Philippines for that. Saddle bags? Pay an absurd amount to Kawasaki or diy some Viking bags. Exhaust? Ship em in from Brazil. Belt drive conversion? There was a company in Brazil a few years ago that offered something but it cost more to ship it stateside than the actual kit. You either buy an American cruiser or get a popular sport bike.

Now granted denim IS nothing but cotton and spandex, and that is kind of the point. ALL of your name brand protective riding jeans are NOT JUST DENIM. My $300 pair of Klim riding jeans are also made with cordura AND kevlar, which WILL PROTECT YOU IN A SLIDE. Riding jeans are NOT JUST for impact protection, the MAIN thing that ANY riding pant should protect you from is ABRASION, not impact. Upper body protection is where you should worry about abrasion AND impact, your hands mainly just abrasion and your head mainly JUST impact. And WHY buy NON CE rated gear over CE rated ones when they are nearly the same price, it makes NO SENSE. BUT I DO GET IT, SOME gear is better than NO gear.

Thats a huge issue for me as well. I have added so many things to the rebel 1100 and the only thing left is to install risers on it but my gauge cluster bolt has completely stripped out and its not coming off at all. So I am dreading the day I have to take some type of metal saw or grinder to it but that is what I am gonna have to do. Honda promised the rebels to be customizable but then forgot to add pretty much any aftermarket parts other than fucking saddlebags. And I mean fuck saddlebags, Rebel is a naked retro cruiser, saddlebags in my opinion does not belong on them tbh. But yea this bike needs alot more riser choices, maybe some different gauge clusters. I previously had a rebel 500 and then bought 1100 but both bikes suffer from the issue of no aftermarket parts or support. Burch, are you talking to Burly brand about the risers coz I emailed them about a year back and gave them a design for the handlebar risers as well and they said they are interested in producing them, however, I reached out to them afterwards but they never replied. I recently test rode a harley Fat bob and I am going to test ride a Indian Dark Chief, I think I am personally done supporting Honda and their rebels, much better bikes out there that are available and they have better quality of life improvement parts that you can purchase and install to make your ride more comfortable. In any case, once I get rid of the rebel 1100 I will be selling out all the parts I purchased for this bike. I am just disappointed in Honda, what a promising platform that is completely wasted. Hey I'm having trouble installing. The clamp doesn't fit. Too big. I have the 1100 manual it's the same bike so idk why it doesn't fit.

I'm curious if the cb500 guage cluster will fit on the scl500. Not a fan of the small dim screen.

I live in Delaware and ride that all the time. It's a nice ride. Blackwater Wildlife refuge leading into Hoopers is nice and quiet. Curves and scenery! Word of advise, check the tides before going out. The water crosses the road in several places during high tide. You do NOT want that water on your bike. Oh, the police DO patrol and sit on the roads so consider that before you decide to open her up and also be mindful of crossing wildlife. Keep your awareness up.

Off topic question butttt.. I got an 1100 Manual a few weeks ago and the throttle seams to be insanely twitchy. Did you have that problem and how did you fix it? I've google it quite a bit and say your video on the power commander but did it fix it or just minimize it?

I have a 30in inseam and my trident has a taller seat than that scl. I can't flat floot both feet but find that 1 foot down is very comfortable. Just for anyone that really likes the scl but is worried about the seat height

Awesome vid. If your a taller rider, these shocks along with some lowered pegs would make a huge difference, without sacrificing stock 35 degree lean angle. Thats a game changer. This will be on the top of my list of mods to do to the new bike.
