Lovely to have a guest! She gives me courage and oh how I understand that anxiety of starting! Gilley, you have been so good to constantly remind me it’s just paint, if you don’t like it, scrape it off. I hope Jilly will try swiping again, but with a more horizontal angle of the swipe tool. Should result in less paint coming off at the end. Jilly gets HUGE cudos for being willing to me filmed. That took courage!

I couldn't agree more! I get so discouraged by the million mistakes I've made (with some gorgeous coloured paints)..So, it's nice to be reminded that it's just paint, and we learn from our mistakes..

I enjoyed the process of Jilly's first swipe. I usually don't do well with stringy line swipes. The outcome of her first swipe was quite nice. Her first (agressive) balloon smush, in the corner, was fabulous! Bird O' Paradise The dried results were Very nice, i think I'll give baloons another chance. Thanks J & G

Love it . Well done both of you. Funny isn't it i did a small swipe today and it was supposed to be like a flower garden but ended up dark. So now it's a spooky forrest . Hot here too so i left it to dry for about half and hour. When i went bck to do ballon kisses, the paint got stuck to the balloon and exposed the canvas. Ended up doing little puddle pours to fill in the gaps. No two days are the same. Carry on Jill and love you knowledge Gully.

I thought the initial result was really pretty! I'm guessing that a damp paper towel would have left on more of the navy, and given Jilly something closer to what she'd hoped for, but it's the things that don't "turn out" that teach us the most. I learned something about balloon kissing and "rolls" from this. So much to learn from teaching it to a student - I'd love to sed you with another willing pupil some time - if we ever get out of this pandemic and you can have someone else with you!
