Well. This is it. You all saw it before I could. Feeling like a failure on KZbin has officially brought about the inevitable "Burn Out" and I'm done talking about it. Making these videos used to be a genuine source of excitement, creativity and endless freedom. But it wasn't going full time that brought about this exhaustion. It was the never ending pressure to produce until I felt like I had nothing left. KZbin rewards watch time above all else... so my videos got longer. KZbin rewards clicks so I because doing "Click Baitey" titles (Even though those have been and probably will always be the only reason some people ever click on my videos) And now... KZbin rewards "Shorts" because they have finally fallen out of the spotlight as the world's most visited site for entertainment. And. I'm. Done. This is not what I signed up for when I created the channel, "Her Two Wheels" I did not sign up to be the next Mr. Beast. I did not sign up to show my body for fast growth and popularity. I did not sign up to grind, daily, on 60 second videos that do nothing for my creativity or value.I did not sign up to feel irrelevant and constantly looked over as a storyteller. I created Her Two Wheels to find my community. To share in the world I have built my life around. To be able to document my adventures, grand and minuscule. To escape the daily monotony of societal expectations. Feeling this urge to get away from the "Algorithm" has been gnawing at me for months. I am done fighting KZbin. I'm done begging viewers to stay. I'm done worrying about how to ALWAYS one-up my last upload.... So this is it. The final "F-U" to the unsustainable pressures put on creators. Back to basics. Back to escaping together. Just you and me and two wheels. 2023 is going to be amazing!

I have a YT channel and I felt the same pressure to produce. I do livestreams when I feel like it as I want to remain authentic and true to myself. I love watching your videos especially ones to do with camping. I will be 69 in 3 months and I still ride my motorcycle year round and I love to mc camp. For 2022 I put only 3000 km (~2000 mi) on my car and the rest was on my motorcycle. I save on gas and reduce my carbon footprint as well! My passion is riding! Keep your chin up, Girl!! 💕 (A fan from BC Canada 🇨🇦)

Hey Jessica YOU KEPT ME ALIVE. I was lying on the couch one day during on of my depression episodes. I was watching KZbin. I fell asleep and woke up up to your channel playing. You sparked something inside of me. 13 yrs ago I was in motorcycle accident. Almost lost my left foot. Fast forward through my divorce and staring over one dead end after another. You got me riding again. And man did I miss it. Sometimes you forget who you are and you have to go back and try all the things you used to do to find what makes you happy. Now I'm re married to a great women ( love ya Tracy). Have 2 great pups, my own home with 2 bikes to choose from. Just wanted to let you know that you made a difference to at least one of us out there in KZbin land.

I ditto everything Wayne said. I'm 72 and ride but not as much as before and love watching your videos. I'm sorry you have to deal with the "haters" and if it gets too bad, hire someone to read and summarize the comments and they can delete the bad ones so you don't have to deal with them. There are spineless idiots out there who feel powerful if they can get a rise out of someone if they post something anonymously.

Jess, you have been a huge inspiration to me. My husband died on November 9th of this year leaving me with our Road Glide Ultra Bagger. It's HUGE and too much for me to ride alone but I can't give up riding. I have decided to turn it into a trike and I watch your videos not only for inspiration but information, your bravery, and your bright sparkle. You are making a difference for me. Sometimes when I can't sleep, I turn on one of your videos and it distracts me from my grief and allows me to fall asleep dreaming of riding. Make your content. Ride your ride. I'll be watching.

Dear Jess, three years ago I was in a motorcycle accident that changed my life forever. I lost my dream bike that I had waited my whole life to get. My body was broken and battered and the young girl that caused the wreck had very little insurance. Anyway, I started watching your channel and others like Shadetree and Adam for the simple reason that I missed my motorcycle. I still do everyday. I watch ya'll because it is the only way that I will ever see some of the sights that you show. Living vicariously through you and others is all I have left so thank you for taking me along. I'm now 60. Lost my wife a little over two years ago. Been a hermit since. Used to ride, but have never really had long rides like you do. Started watching your channel, and really enjoyed it. I'm still not riding again, but I want to...and you've been an inspiration. Mostly because you're the first person to say "I have no idea what I'm doing", but then you do it anyway. I envy that. Don't let KZbin choke out that sense of adventure. That would be sad, no matter what happens to the channel.

The people who really value and support you, will never get upset or disappointed if you don't post a video for a week, or two, or three...... I'd rather watch something that you loved making, rather than something you felt forced to make for a timeline. Because of you, I found out about such things as Babes Ride Out and other amazing places and things I would never have known about. You have become a staple in my home, as creepy as that sounds, lol. I love your personality and your funny jokes and comments you make while riding. I value you and your content, and your love for our metal stallions. Dear Jess, Im a 60 yr old rider , who rides for the same reasons you ride. But, I ride for myself, to put distance between me and the whole freakin world if necessary, all I want to pass on to you is to live life for yourself and your family. Take a ride or two without the cameras, ride to be free from what binds us. Im just a old sailor, been around one could say. Dont let the world pull you into a place where you cant laugh from your gut, or smile a genuine smile, or have a moment with just you and the Lord. The very fact that you strapped on a camera and mike and opened up to we (the viewers) has been both entertaining and inspiring. Yes, social media is often the home of nasty and mean-spirited voices. But it also has people (like me) who find H2W to be amazing. Good on you for putting yourself out there to create content. There are some wonderful vloggers on KZbin such as @HerTwoWheels, @Usernamekate, @Doodle on a Motorcycle, as well as plenty of couples who vlog together. Motorcycling has the ability to bring people together in such a magical way. There are some inspirational posts here from people that Jess has positively influenced through her vlogging. For me, getting on a trike is just one positive therapy after losing my beloved wife last year. She made me promise to live a joy-filled life, and I can't think of a better way than by "feelin' the breeze on ma' knees" again. 😇 I'm in awe at how some women riders handle huge bikes putting some of us males to shame with their skill levels.

Jess, I started my law enforcement career in 1981, people were as bad then as they are now. I got to accomplish two things in 22 years. I was a K-9 handler for 8 years, then went to traffic and got to ride motorcycles. I enjoy watching this ballsy young lady do something I wanted to do, but didn’t. That’s riding from Ohio, my second Sasquatch state, to Florida. I had special treatment for bullies, flashlight shampoos. Three things I didn’t put up with. Men hurting women, men hurting kids, and bullies. I had no problems hurting those people who hurt the people who couldn’t defend themselves. They say they get into Police work to help people and make a difference. Two things I’m proud of in my tour, I delivered a beautiful baby girl in her moms kitchen, and me and my fur Missile won Police Officer of the year for the State of Maryland. Don’t let haters get to you, do you know how many threats I’ve had, a guy who just got out of a nut house was trying to break into my Police car one day. I went out and he accused me if spying on him for his land lord. I told him to go before I let the fur Missile out. He told me he had pictures of my 6 year old daughter getting off and on the bus at school. our brave Major who said he was never scared ordered me to stay away from him and a patrol car would see my daughter on the bus and off at school. In laws got her after. Two weeks later they found him dead in his trailer of a heart attack. People drive by while my kids were in the yard and tell me to go f myself, beer cans in my yard, bottles broken in my driveway. I worked a lot where I lived and I guess the thought I would be intimidated and overlook things. Instead I locked as many up as I could. Track them in the dark woods and made them happy meals. I didn’t care what the thought, they shot my house up with my family asleep inside, bullet was in the refrigerator. I got him and he spent 13 years in jail and was a shell of himself when he got out. Don’t let these keyboard balls wackos change you, I like your content and I’m coming down to fallen Angels this summer. I want a picture of a bad ass biker from Ohio. You’re blessed, raise hell, curse and drink and I’ll still watch. You’re a bad ass kiddo. Don’t let these keyboard tough guys break that spirit, just tell them you have this big biker family that thinks of you as a baby sister. And we’re very protective of her. See you in 2023. Have to trade the Harley, I had my spine fusion done in 2021 and haven’t rode the Black Pearl much. Im going to be on a Goldwing automatic, I’m 61, it will look natural. Excuse and grammar errors, I’m on meds for my PTSD and stuff to make sleep. So you keyboard badasses better lay low, you have some badass friends.

Like all your videos where you talk about growth, difficulties, hateful comments, and all things analytics this video hits me in the feels. It is unfortunate that you are 100% correct on how the vast majority simply DO.NOT.CARE about things that go into making videos. They consume free content and are happy to complain about it. There are so many that absolutely DO CARE and also show great support but its a very one-sided scale. The shorts and move by KZbin to become TikTok has really hit hard and overnight all my growth just went away. Completely out of my control. My content does not align with short form anything so I'm feeling a bit homeless if things don't change. Anyway, I will miss videos like this but understand the decision that had to be made. Jess, Please understand how important you are to many people, my wife recently lost her dad and the only thing that got her through was riding her motorcycle which was inspired by your videos, for so many years people told her she wouldn’t be able to handle a motorcycle, until she watched your channel, you inspired her, and essentially saved her Keep going, this video has made me subscribe because you need to be online, Stay the course you are helping people

Jess, I came across your channel, cus of the solo camping video in 2020. You gave me some needed perspective to help me find even more enjoyment out of my riding. Yes, I do watch other rider channels, but I like yours the most because of videos like this. Either you’re showing me some gear ideas for motocamping(I know you stopped, but oh well) or we’re jaw jackin while you go run errands on the Dyna or Appa, or you’re taking us on a road trip to see Block Head or ride Indians in Arizona. Each time it’s like I’m hanging with one of my buds and I’ve got a small social circle. Keep doing what you’re doing. Make the content you want to make. That’s what brought me here in the first place and why I’m still around nearly 3 years later.

I have enjoyed your content for almost 2 years now. You are one of the channels I follow and have pretty much abandoned normal TV. I enjoy your travels, tips, conversations and your personality. Your vlogs are fun. Take some time, regroup and bring us some entertainment. Thank you for providing me content that supports my passion. Merry Christmas and I'll be looking for your drops in 2023!

Thank you very much for taking the time to talk about this with us. I'm excited to see what content comes from this change. I wonder if you will institute a reoccurring vacation/ blackout time like Chase on two wheels? As my wife is currently recovering from burn out I really want you to avoid it. It's really hard to recover from and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I’ve heard lots of famous people say they stopped reading their comments on social media, there is always that person who wants to bring you down or thinks it’s funny to post negative comments. I know it’s hard to ignore them but you have to. Maybe it’s time to have someone else take care of the social media for you and you just make the content.

We'll be here. Your motorcycle camping trips is what brought me in, I researched here on youtube planning a trip back in 2020, never got to actually do it, but I watched you and lived the camping life through you since then 😃 You make your love for riding shine through the screen, and the way you burst out laughing for just twisting the throttle all of a sudden... 😄 It's just a lot of fun watching you. Merry X-mas and a happy New Year!

I do appreciate the behind the scenes candid videos. I have a very very small Channel myself and people don't understand how hard this stuff can be. But I have enjoyed your videos both the riding ones and your longer Adventure ones and you just talking about going getting a coffee. Whether it's how to pack a Harley to go camping or how to attach your GoPro I think the randomness of that makes this whole thing more real. But a lot of us who watch you and have watched you for a while think of you as a friend even though we've never really met. And don't want to see you burn out. Have a super wonderful holiday and hopefully see more of your videos in the new year.

You've inspired me to reach out in my riding, and you've shown all of us just how many opportunities the motorcycle community has to offer. While I can't fully sympathize with your struggles creating content, what I can do is offer my heartfelt thanks for continuing to make a positive effect on my life.

For some reason I feel kinda sad now Jess. I know this isn't a farewell or anything, like not even close to it. Yet this made an impression on me. I guess it's more that I feel sorry for YT being annoying with pushing shorts and all the other shenanigans it thinks/thoughts off. To YT: Bro, I'm on YT (Premium even!) To support the creators I like most to the max I possibly can within my limits. So the entire view time of the videos cause it's like my personal Netflix. Being subbed to ones I like most whether it be due the fact that I feel like are my kind of people or just that I have a connection with that person. Giving them comments to boost viewer engagement or feeling to answer a question they asked or want to know an opinion. If I want to look at shorts KZbin, i'll search for them in a the shorts tab. Not to fond of seeing them in between my videos from channels I subbed to, or recommended ones who might interest me. On that note Jess, since you mentioned your videos weren't pushed to view, I disagree, for me they did. Looked back and saw that every video from 1 year+ back is noted as watched for me. As for your channel I think i've seen more then 3/4 or 2/3 or 9/10 or out of your 263(?+) videos I think i've seen more then 220 of them. Lol! 😂 I found your channel while I was interested and looking up videos for motorcycling. Never had much for cruisers but grew to like them thanks to you and some other creators I started watching back then. Anyway, looking forward to your videos as always and I am excited to see what's to come! You be good, same for Jordan and until the next one!😁

Jess, I’ve seen your last several videos and they feel like hard work rather than the joy filled two-wheeler that I subscribed. Thank you for this confessional video. I’m staying with you and if you don’t put out videos every other day; I’ll wait until the next one. Too much of a thing sometimes waters down the relationship. I’ll eagerly await your next adventure. Keep that beautiful smile and don’t feel like you have to apologize for being blessed! Some of us are still trying to attain those blessings! Namely my own two wheels. In the meantime, I’m riding thru your eyes, words and impressions. I’m enjoying the journey!

Okay, just watched this today. My wife and I watch your vids together. I'm 67yo and my wife is "somewhere in there". I have a 2004 Road King Classic and she rides a 2014 Heritage Softail. We usually watch together on the big TV and I have to remember to "like" your vids afterwards, as we don't know how to do it on the Telly. I'm sure you have a varied audience, but let us share what we enjoy on your show. The travelogues are awesome! We live in Western Colorado and we're not taking long, extended, ass-killing trips anymore. We love being able to look over your shoulder (chin) and enjoy rides that we haven't taken and in all likelihood, never will. I don't like boat loads of people, so it was nice to go to Sturgis with you. We love your Road Glide, although my wife still gets confused over which is which (RG vs SG). It's interesting to see the mods a woman makes to a bike. Your apparel choices have inspired my wife to look farther afield. "What does she do for hot or cold rides?" For me, I'd never heard of Odin gloves and I've had a motorcycle endorsement for 50 years. Our two cents would be: Quality over quantity. Do what you enjoy and love and invite us to come along. No people pleasing. What a rabbit hole that is! There's only one Jess, let's not forget how rare and valuable that is. Blessings to you and Jordan, and shiny side up! P.S.- Your latest Florida shows have a considering some snow bird travel. Can't believe it! Ha!

I have had the worst 3 years of my life with a lot of traumatic events and just resolved a NASTY divorce yesterday. I have enjoyed the "escapism" that you have shared with me during this time and I want to get the courage to take a long solo ride in 2023. Keira Knightley, actress of the "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Star Wars" and many other movies and plays, took a year off from acting, I had read a long time ago. She turned down offers, demands and pressures telling the world she wanted to catch up on her reading and to travel, and to spend time with herself and family. That's all, she had no long explanation. I've always admired her for that, and she earned my deepest respect and a place in my heart as an admired star. And, if you see her now she is always in full control of herself and always looks satisficed and happy. JB

I also just enjoyed that you were out riding, and that was what I was looking for. I just wanted to watch people riding in places I wasn't able to ride (at the time, I hadn't started riding yet). Also... there are aspects of your personality that remind me of my wife... and my wife says that, similarly, Jordan reminds her of me. It's like we get to watch alternate reality versions of us on KZbin. All that to say... just be you. Make what you want, and your internet fam will be here to experience it. I said when you were in the early days of your channel and you actually responded in agreement and I still stand by it. Change is important. Not one of us is who we were in 2019. If you don't change you don't grow and if you're not growing then one has to wonder what are you doing. I don't know if you're a doctor who fan but this is a really good way to sum it up "We all change, when you think about it, where all different people; all through our lives, and that's ok, that's good, you've gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be." Really wish I could find a way to say it that good myself but I honestly don't know a better way to put it.
