Thanks for the install vid. Another shop in California recommended 8.5 ft pounds for the clutch cover housing bolts, which resulted in a snapped bolt.. I'm pretty sure your recommendation of 7 ft lbs is much more in line with what it should be.

Thank you. Very informative. I'm interested in a set. Any reason you took out all the clutch plates? Seems like you could've bolted the spring plate at the beginning without removing individual clutch plates?

He possibly took out all just to show the setup with the judder springs.

Can use full friction plates and eliminate the thin ones

Just did the TW Clutch mod today, during my test drive I noticed engaging forward/reverse (sport shift) it now clunks harder and surges the YXZ when kicking into gear. Is this normal? I'm figuring it is now that all the clutch plates are actually wet and fully functional. Over half my clutch pack was dry when I tore it down today, 100 miles on her so far, all plates still looked good (no discoloring), dropped Maxima MTL85W in the tranny. Edit: Oh and thank you for the video, it came in handy making sure everything went back together the right way today!

Offsetting that last friction. I can't bring myself to do it

This upgrade is good but if you remove those last three narrow discs the clutch would get stronger especially in the plucked out as in its lifetime being able to even abuse the clutch in more locked places locked tracks gets the hint do not know how to insist on those three thin discs hug
