Love this clip. In January this year I got a job as an emergency call handler for the fire service. At the 11th hour, I was offered another job within the broadcast industry where my background/experience is from. I took the broadcasting job but have always been slightly gutted I didn't take the emergency call handler role. Maybe another time. Good work to all. Well done.

Hi Dwarfedgiant, thanks for the feedback. Lot of respect for even considering the call handling role; the women and men in our control room do a great job under difficult and varied circumstances. It's something I'd like to do a video on in the future, to show just how much they contribute to emergency incidents. Hope your broadcasting role is going well👍

Nice job with the lorry - just another way to support the community and help sort out a bad situation!

Hi Dan, thanks for your comment. 'Promoting community recovery' is one of the functions of the Fire and Rescue Service; we'll help get the community moving after an emergency where we can!

Phahaha this is the first time I’ve never heard a fire service spokesperson tell us how “Tirelessly” they worked, how “Dedicated” they were, how incredible they “Interacted” with all the other “Agencies”, and last but not least how they “Value” the public support at these difficult times! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It’s just a pity they never showed up at the Manchester Arena when they were really needed.
