That started because of financial precariousness, but people are seeing through marriage as some sort of answer for everybody. I'll never forget a hollywood awards show.....Kim Catrall was on the red carpet being interviewed by some guy, he was nervous AF, and he said his friends told him he wouldn't have the courage to ask Kim to kiss him. She smiled, and GAVE HIM A FULL-ON, REAL, HOLY-SHIT, SHOOT MY SHOT KIND OF LONG, LINGERING KISS. And then she smiled again, and calmly went on her way. And He. He..........turned and looked at the camera like his soul had left his body and was never coming back, he sat down right TF there (more like half-collapsed) looked again at the camera (as I recall) and couldn't even speak, having to wave the camera off. As far as I know, he didn't choose to end his life or anything, because obviously for him, life was never going to ever....EVER....top that moment.
