For anyone reading, I'm doing a graphic design diploma (after doing a cert IV, both are 1 year) and I definitely think it's worth it as someone who had never used Adobe suites, but it really pushed me to learn about a lot of different things. My tafe was great and I learnt after effects, blender, sketchup and even letter press! Pretty cool! Even had live clients and competitions with real prospects. I haven't done Uni tho so I don't have anything for you in that area.

Probably my fave episode so far Elliot! Also re: design school, I did 2 years of tafe in melbourne for a diploma of graphic design, then you could pathway into 3rd year university for a bachelor in communications design. My learnings: tafe courses are WAY more hands on and informative than projects like writing essays about design at uni 🙃But also this was 10 years ago when higher education wasn't redundant cause you can teach yourself anything online now!

I don’t have a degree but I have a certificate , that being said I could notice all the things I don’t know vs a 4 year degree person does , how ever it is pretty useless from a Money stand point you could make bank on canva and no need to know adobe at all 😂
