****** Hi everyone, on today’s episode where we are going to be talking about how to easily tell that someone was raised by a narcissist. Before we dive into the topic, I’m just going to go over the concept of narcissism in case you are yet to see the other videos on the topic or just really need a better understanding of what it means to be a narcissist and how it can affect a person's upbringing. Also, later in this video, I’ll be sharing a few helpful tips to help anyone who is struggling with narcissism navigate their relationships better. Because in my experience, relationships are one aspect that people raised by narcissists really struggle with and this ends up affecting the quality of their lives.

Ok this hits way to close to home. I didn’t think this was so common. My dad was a narcissist and this is 100% accurate. Luckily I was able to teach myself to understand the feelings of others.

Also funny that you showed Muay Thai/kickboxing in the vid for self help, that’s exactly what I do for self care

I feel like anxiety should have been included in the list. If you're raised by a narcissist you're constantly anxious in your own home and it seeps into the rest of your life with relationships, education, jobs, health ect...

It sounds like narcissism is inherited via behavior. Very important to know what you've experienced and turn it around.

It's so sad losing an amazing partner because of being raised by narcissistic parents and repeating their traits. I love her with all my heart but I did to her the same shit they did to me even when she is the only person I ever felt empathy for besides of my sister. I really really hate it,feel so ashamed, sorry, remorse, know that I am the guilty and I cry like never before every week of every month. But I know she deserves to be happy. Thanks for the video,I hope some raised by narcissistics watches it and change their minds. Trust me,you will regret a lot. Keep away of those parents and try to be a better person than them (which is very easy).

Thanks for the video. Fairly certain my mother was a narcissist; it took years of therapy to begin healing! However, a blessing that one can gain from surviving such a situation is a strong sense of empathy and an ability to listen on multiple levels, as long as we are patient with ourselves. If you're reading this and looking for reassurance: you can do it, keep up the good work!

Narcissism runs in my family's blood-line, but I was adopted. I'm not like them biologically. A long time ago I resigned myself to their foregone conclusions about me. They expected me to be motivated by their criticisms into improving myself like them. That's just not me.

In my experience the blaming and saying things like "it's always your fault" etc. isn't always so straightforward. They might craft sentences in a way that sounds kind but still blames you making them seem like a kind person.

the problem I have with the video is if you're raised by a narcissistic parent you pick up some traits mean an overly empathetic person and never being able to say no and having problems with making sure you give self-care over saying yes to everything or from my experience you have siblings that become narcissistic themselves and then siblings that become the person that tries to help tries to be overly sensitive always having the need to fix people are situations to me this makes it very unclear it kind of scrambles it all together all of the behaviors are there but it doesn't really start off clarifying because to me it does talk about narcissistic parents and being raised but in some cases you grow up to be a narcissist yourself and a narcissist narcissist isn't somebody that pleases people so it gets confusing this is not clear enough when you're speaking in terms of this is what happens when you're raised by a narcissistic parent yes has to be clear on when you're talking about an individual because narcissist also come from somewhere so for me it was just a little confusing because I do know people that have been raised by narcissists become narcissistic themselves even worse and their parent so in terms of the behaviors and stuff I think it needs to be a little bit more Pacific when referring to the behavior whether it's the narcissistic parent doing this to the when referring to the behavior whether it's the narcissistic parent doing this to the when referring to the behavior whether it's the narcissistic parent the overly empathetic child or what have you so you can clearly follow because I feel like when speaking about you have problems determining what is a healthy relationships and learning healthy interactions I honestly think that focusing on what happens to the overly empathetic person raised by a narcissist or narcissist interactions that we should focus on the narcissist and have less of an impact maybe learn what makes a narcissist a narcissist how they interactions may be getting an understanding more on how to deal and how to avoid and and how to hopefully in the futurechange the impact of this kind of personality sorry for the long message but it was a little confusing but all together good information and on this subject to any information is better than nothing at all this is becoming more mainstream and I'm hoping to see lots and lots more because I do believe that it's not a huge impact on our world we live in
