Recently, I started cooking brown rice, quinoa, cracked wheat, and steel cut oats together. They all cook in the same time, so I just toss about 1 cup of the grain per roughly 2 cups of boiling water, bring it briefly back to a boil, and then let it cook on very low in a large skillet for 30 minutes covered tightly. It's DELICIOUS.

I love my OXO peeler, in the traditional shape, I hate those weird shaped peelers too. Something I love to do, cook my sweet potatoes, usually about 8 to 10 minutes in my microwave steamer, then roast in air fryer for about 25 min. Then remove the skin in as big of pieces as you can. Then air fry those skins for about 8 to 9 min, voila, POTATO CHIPS 😄

I peel the same way! I have 2 Kitchenaide peelers that are designed like your peeler. I've had them for years, and thankfully, they still work great . Your peeler looks just like the one my Mom had when I was a little girl. She taught me how to peel potatoes with it. ❤That's probably why I don't like using the "cheffie" peelers either.

Hi Dillon, when you cut any vegetable, like you did just now with sweet potato, then boiling them in lots of water, and draining the water out, aren't you throwing away the nutrients of that veg.... I know u said that one can steam them too but "I do it this way" and throwing away the nutrients is not all right, isn't it ? and still continue to show us doing wrong way...

Irrelevant. There are plenty of nutrients even if that were true. Forget about all that and just enjoy the food.
