Biblically accurate Angel's ARE just flying people. If you ACTUALLY READ the text, and not just parroting internet fads, you would know this. The winged flaming rings of eyes are indeed Angel's, but they are not THE Angel's people are referring to when they refer to biblical angels. The rings of eyes are Oraphim, they are the watchers of Gods chariot/throne, as serve as both litteral "wheels" for the chariot and eternal guardians of the throne. In the bible, the Angel's who are sent down as gods messengers are described as just people

The ending with OJ just behind and below the Out Yonder sign has always given me the impression that Peele is saying that he didn't make it. If you listen during the scene before when he is starring down the monster, you can hear the horse shriek similar to when the others were abducted. Out of the many reactions I have watched, and I have watched a lot, you are the only one who commented on that.

My personal opinion is that it wasn't an alien, but terrestrial. Its ability to imitate a cloud or keep the cloud perfectly still around it without blowing in the wind, topped with its need to feed on earth food, like horses, tells me that it is either from Earth or has been here a long time. If a balloon can take it down that easy, I cannot conceive how it would survive in the vacuum of space as well as taking long journeys in space to other planets with life that it can eat.

I still can't believe Jordan got THE Keith David and 😵 him immediately. Incredibly bold move to introduce us to OJ. I really enjoy Jordan Peele's use of themes in his first 3 horrors. Thematic spoilers for Get Out and Us below. Get Out is about the horror of other people, Us is about the horror within ourselves, and Nope is about horrors in the wild. These are the 3 most basic conflict elements (Man vs man, man vs himself, and man vs nature) but the way Jordan uses them is incredible.

When the alien or animal or whatever it was starts transforming at the end, it is beautiful looking. The artwork and different styles it changes into remind me of a boss fight from a Final Fantasy game. I feel as though you could take the different forms and change it into one of their end-game boss fight and the aesthetics would fit seamlessly.

Great film. Daniel Kaluuya is so awesome, love everything hes in and Keke Palmer cracks me up, shes to cute. Yes darlin' there is a song called, "The Purple People Eater" from the 50s. Its about how a strange creature from outer space (described as a "one-eyed, one-horned, flying, purple people eater") descends to Earth, because it wants to be in a rock 'n' roll band. Well it would be kinda arrogant of us to think in all the galaxies and vast space, that we r the only life. Thanx darlin', take care, Peace

You might not believe in UFOs, but I saw one when I was 16 in 2006 in Corolla, NC. Corolla is at the tip of the Outer Banks island, and is the last town at the tip of the island. There's a "drive-on" beach where the road ends, and the last few miles of the island are really nice rental houses out in the sand, but you have to have 4WD to drive onto the beach and get out there. Lots of wild horses out there, it's gorgeous. My whole family rented a house out there on the drive-on beach, off season, miles away from anyone. One night around 11pm, I went on the front porch (facing the sound) to call my boyfriend and wish him goodnight. As we were talking, I saw a large, triangle-shaped black craft with three dim, orange-colored lights on the bottom fly slowly past. It was really low to the ground, below the roofs of the houses across the street, and it was SILENT. There was no wind, no noise, no nothing. It flew by really, really slowly until I couldn't see it anymore. I was freaking out to my boyfriend on the phone the entire time. I didn't have a camera on my phone, just a shitty flip-phone in 2006. Of course when I went back inside and told my family, no one believed me. However, it turns out that part of the US is the #1 UFO sighting location in the country. Ever since then, I really think there are things going on beyond our understanding and I'm dying to know what it was that I saw.

Im not really a believer in advance alien species observing us but i have seen some things. Back in high school i used to wake up real early and go to the beach to watch my favorite shows while waiting for the sun to rise. It was like 2am, i was chilling and looking at my phone when suddenly a bright light in the background caught my eye. At first i thought i was tripping, so i check the clock but then the light started moving upward, then it stop and move horizontally and stop again. I started recording it for awhile and it was surreal how bright it was, a refraction of light at dawn aint like that. A minute later it just flew up and disappear. In my hometown we call them "Santelmo" or Fire Spirit that sometimes take the form of a child but as a science guy that was some alien stuff. Idk what i saw but if someone say they saw a UFO im all ears listening to their stories

I saw something like that Not even like years ago but actually to tell you the truth like like two to three weeks ago I was at my Nana's place and she lives on like an apartment complex and she lives on like the fourth floor right but it's but if you're outside it's the third floor and I'm on her own balcony it's facing the back right it's during this horrible thunderstorm right and I'm filming it and I swear to God and I swear when a lightning flashed it struck something in the sky it was like this ball and I'm not talking about like a tiny little wall it was kind of big like at least three bus says long it was that big and also I see a flashy and this thing's moving and I'm like what the hell is this I'm not trying to scream a freak out and all sudden lights to flicking around when this thing gets near our place and then all said when the lightning flashes again I see the bottom of it go up higher and I'm like what the hell and sure enough when this thing left the storm was gone I don't know what I saw but I could clearly tell it was there it was in the middle of the night too it was like 10 or 11:00 at night and I was early terrified I just didn't know what to say and I did record like the first like part of it when it was struck by lightning but because I was so shocked I just had the phone pointed down at the flooded parking lot cuz I just didn't know how to react I was just frozen yeah and that's my story it genuinely scared me cuz I did not know what it was and my body told me that if I do something or if it sees me what's it going to do

We live in NC and a couple of summers ago myself and our kids and dog experienced something so strange (even though I know this makes me sound crazy) It was during the afternoon and my kids came running in to tell me there was something loud outside. I thought they meant a plane or something but anyway I go out and our dog is sitting but just looking up, not growling or wagging her tail, just frozen looking up. All the trees and grass was moving and it was like an engine running above us, like a helicopter was low and was about to land, but there was nothing there at all. Now sound is weird here, that's for sure; the mountains often distort noise and you can't always tell which direction something is, but this particular noise and air was from above, it really felt like a helicopter was going to land on us but there was nothing at all anywhere in the sky and certainly not low enough to make the grass move around like crazy. My kids kept shouting at each other because that's how loud it was, and then it just slowly went up (thats the only way I can describe the noise/air) until everything was back to normal and our dog moved from her sitting/staring position. I know "an invisible craft" sounds ridiculous to say out loud, but that's honestly the closest explanations I have in my head. I obviously don't tell many people this because I know they'd laugh or call me a liar, my young kids and dog can't give an accurate account, but that really happened. Nothing has ever happened since but I told my husband when he came home from work that day, and I thought he would laugh or think I was being stupid, but he got all serious and said his mom would tell them about the time when he was a baby, they were at a game at the school in the early evening and people kept hearing a machine or something that had a noise that would come and go. Anyway the moms realized that all the babies at the game on their laps/in the strollers etc, were all looking up. They just kept staring up for a long while and nobody knew what they were looking at, they couldn't distract them or get their attention or anything. Nobody else was looking up except for the babies and toddlers, and then they just all stopped and went back to normal!!

chimps are so scary man, they're very very smart and strong and when they fight they don't fight to kill, they fight to cause pain and establish hierarchy. so they go for the hands, feet, face, and the crotch because they understand that it won't kill their victim but it will cause intense pain. i remember reading about a zookeeper who was new to her job and got assigned to feed the chimpanzees. the chimps knew to push their food bowls right up against the little door at a certain time to get them filled, but one time, after she'd been there a few weeks, she saw a bowl sitting about a foot back from where it usually was. as she opened the small door to reach into the exhibit and grab the bowl, another keeper RAN over, shouting at her to stop and to NEVER put her hands inside the cage. he told her to look into the exhibit from another angle, and she saw the oldest chimp hiding in a blind spot behind the door. she later swore he looked disappointed when she saw him there! he knew she was new and inexperienced, and tried to trick her into getting her arm mauled. i say all this because i think the theme in this movie of people humanizing/exploiting animals to the point that people get hurt is super strong and relevant. it's so forward with its message that what Jupe was trying to do (tame a predator, like OJ says) isn't JUST dangerous but dangerous for every single person around him too. anyway sorry for the novel in ur comments lol this is my favorite movie of like the last 5 years so i could talk about it forever

Got the academy award for best picture and does the multiverse concept sooo well

I loved this movie up until the end reveal. It was like watching someone do amazingly on a race the entire way only to faceplant at the finish line. It just didn't work for me, given the entire buildup to it. Love your reaction though!

Recommendation to watch is Akira which is HEAVLY REFERENCED in so much media like the slide at the end is a major one and Nope is the first one ive seen ever do it in Real life and not animation .

@@grant1739 it REALLY did! I was watching it with my 6 roommate's and our bf/gf and they were acting like it was so amazing and suspensfull 🙄 One could be trapped in a kitchen pantry 🙄 And they all gasped when the alien turned the doorknob like it was unexpected.... “OMG he learned how!!“ It's a friggin DOOR 🙄 He ALSO traveled through outer space to get here too right? And seriously... I'm sure the aliens could see from space, that like 80% of the earths surface is covered in WATER! 😂

Dumb complaint. We go to places full of deadly stuff and sometimes die from it all the time because it has something else we want or need. We don’t know how desperate they may have been, or how ignorant (being smart enough for one thing doesn’t make you smart about everything, maybe they were prideful and thought they could tough it out.) point is, there are plenty of explanations for this that aren’t a reach. They tried and failed at something, like we do all the time, hardly a plot hole.

@@lakotagrywlf dumb anecdote. sure people move to and inhabit places where acid rains down from the sky! And THAT being somehow tied to his late wife's fever dreamed delirious premonition "swing away" 🙄 and the daughter doesn't like the taste of water, but it's all in her head and they just go with it .... And leave full glasses of the water she decided was "too dusty" or whatever, all around the house for days? Seriously?

What do I believe about UFOs? I was a teenager when my mother bought a copy of Chariots of the God, a popular book about how ancient cultures were taught how to construct impressive temples or big drawings could only be seen from the air, and the glyphs and drawings on the temple looks like someone in a cockpit of a plane and so on. Aztecs, Mayans and Egyptians all had help with the things they made, like pyramids. But here's the thing. The ancient Greeks, who were the beginners of what became Western culture, didn't seem to need the help. Because there were no mentions of them or the Romans or anybody else in Europe in the book. The implication is that non-white, non-western people couldn't have been intelligent or imaginative enough to come up with these advances on their own, while Europeans were still mostly living in mud huts. What other, more gullible, people swallowed as " proof " ancient civilization were visited aliens I saw as very thinly disguised racism. My future Husband lived a couple of thousand miles away from me and read The Chariots of the Gods the same way I did, and like me the found the worst offensive in the Nasca Lines. They are rather primitive large drawings in South America up on a flat hilltop in the desert, that can only be seen as what they are from high above, so aliens must have helped the people make them, right? Wrong. I could have made them myself anytime after I took 6th grade math. Take a small picture of what you want to make big and lay a grid over it. Then make a large grid on the ground. You can do it with stakes and strings, as long as the spaces are even and the same number as your small grid. Then number your grid's horizontal squares along the top, and label the vertical squares with letters. So now top left square is 1-A, on both grids. If there's nothing in that space in the original picture, leave the square blank. If something is in that space copy only what's in that space in the enlargement. As you proceed just keep doing the same thing, copying only what is in the individual squares to corresponding squares on the larger squares, guided by your labels. Then remove the grid. I remember how to do this because it's fun. It may not be the exact methods used by the ancient South American people. But it does show that humans can and will puzzle things out for themselves. And as for the glyphs and pictures on Mayan and Aztec temples? Here's a radical idea! Find someone like an expert on those cultures and what those things meant within the context of of their religions. There are many who go to places of higher learning, called universities. Funny how the author of CotG, Eric VonDonagen, seemed to forget that, because they're nowhere to be found. If you wish to find out what is and isn't fact about human history and our relationship with the universe I strongly recommend Carl Sagen's book The Cosmic Connection, published around the same time. At no point when I read it did racism, open or thinly disguised, rear it head.

Love ya man, but you didn't react to the movie, you just gave a silly running monologue through it. I can't make out half of what the movie is about. Try reacting to whats actually going on instead of just commenting and being silly for laughs.
