Where the hell is the public support for these lads? Very poor turnout on the part of the civpop. Disgraceful, in fact!

Is fighting for someone else' cause heroic to you? A Welshman who fights for a foreign Queen/King is no Welshman.
@Pliam9614 жыл бұрын
@@WalesTheTrueBritons Oh come off it, another misguided Plaid Cymru supporter no doubt, and regardless of your political leanings, as a British Citizen, they fight for you de facto. You live in the world's fifth most powerful country. What would Wales be if it would be independent? Most likely a non-strategic back water. Nothing, like Ireland. The UK is a major mover and shaker on the world stage and Wales is an integral part of that. That is a truth before an opinion.

Pretty amazing when you think that hundreds of years ago, the local village chief's body of men-at-arms would have done essentially the same ceremony after coming back from fighting whatever miscreants they were sent to campaign against. That sense of history and tradition is something only old nations have.

John Christensen 8 seconds ago In December 2000 I lead a sailboat expedition aboard the 53-foot steal Yacht, Ice Maiden, to the Falklands. The boat was crewed with 13 young men from the Welsh Guards, 1 Gurkha and me the Captain, a US Navy Master Chief serving with the Royal Navy. It was a very difficult voyage as none of the guardsman had any sailing experience and the Southern Ocean, never calm, made it more so. We arrived the day after Christmas. We met up with a lady who was the mother of one of the lost Guardsman in 1982. Shea led us out to Bluff cove and the monument erected for the lost guardsman. I was very proud to be part of it. We turned the boat over to another army crew and we all flew back to the UK. I never heard from any of those guardsmen again as I went back to the USN reporting aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS John. F. Kennedy. I really like to hear from any of them so if anyone knows about our voyage and those folks can you please ask them to drop me a line. Or is anyone would like more details about our voyage please let me know.

As an American of Welsh descent it's very nice to see the men, the mayor, and the general turn out. And also to hear the Washington Greys March! Not to mention the Saint Louis Blues March. But the Welsh have always seemed to understand good music and appreciate it. Thanks for posting.

j lin it's the Welsh guards.... no Regiment in the army now is a specific regiment, it's not like 100 years ago when sikhs and Caribbean or African soldiers had their own regiments in the army. Every Regiment is multi cultural, with every colour and creed in it. However this is just ONE company of the Welsh guards, just because there is no blacks in the company doesn't mean there isn't any in the Regiment, so keep that bollocks to yourself mate.
