Winter Guard Order can look very smart - and it does. Sharp, smart drill. Good show; well done.

I have a surplus pair of those boots for civilian wear. They are so much fun for drill (except for the rare occasion when you slip), and I really wish I could wear them for my Cadet parades here in Canada. We, unfortunately, aren't allowed to put iron fittings on our parade boots, unlike the CAF.

Here in Singapore, we have the same type of boots, except the soles are rubber. It’s used in the Police Force for parade purposes.

Corps of drums would not mill around and talk on the drill square. Back in 1975 D/sgt Loach { Spock } Would have been all over them. But they again these are only Welsh Guards not 2nd Coldstream. JOKE !

Lol,Stephen. My dad,Newport,Wales...would have loved your comment. Lied about his age, forged his mother's signature...flew Spitfire B of B and Typhoon on D-Day. Survived the war. Was always proud of the Highlanders,Irish lads and Anglo boys. As well as the Czech,Poles,Aussies,Kiwis,Free French and Canuck boys(me) who shared his wing. Stay safe,my friend!

@@SuperTinman2009 God bless your dad. And all who took part. But the main point is how can you have a Regiment that has a bent N.A.A.F.I. fork as a cap badge. This should upset a few Welsh Guardsmen. JOKE.
