I also got the frame to make it pReTtY: amzn.to/3gmCyu2
We had the pleasure of trying Welsh Rarebit at St. John restaurant in London. I overlooked all the websites I looked at that told me it was NOT a rabbit. My excitement of thinking I would actually eat rabbit blinded me 👀

Traditionally, it is indeed called Welsh rabbit. The rarebit name was made up by confused English people.

@@qwertyTRiG Makes sense, England has a history of destroying other peoples cultures and traditions. Typically by force. Im Scottish and we had less force than most used against us, as we defended ourselves very well. Yet we gave in. For our ploiticians greed instead of out of fear or physical force and torture. Which i clearly dislike. But thats on our people.

It’s not5 rabbit because it’s called Welsh rarebit. I can understand the mistake si8nce some people do call it Welsh rabbit. I8n fact for the first couple years after hearing the name, I thought it was rabbit also.
@qwertyTRiG

It is called rabbit traditionally. The English got confused (it's so easy to confuse the English; they're like Americans that way) and made up the name rarebit.

They went to St Johns in London. It's famous for doing traditional British food in the traditional way. I would put money on their Rarebit being more traditional and much better than basically almost anywhere in Wales outside high end restaurants. Incidentally, if you are ever in London, couldn't recommend St Johns more. They do shit like a whole suckling pig. If you've ever wanted to eat like a nobleman from the 17th century that place has you covered.

If you get the chance, Biltong is an amazing snack from South Africa! There's also dry vors (cant really spell it but I'm sure a friendly South African will correct me in the comments lol) As an infant my mother used Biltong when I was teething as an alternative to teether toys. It's delicious and packed with Iron! My mother spent all of her teen years in SA and had my brother there. Its become a huge part of my life aswell because of that.

It was jokingly called Welsh Rabbit, but was o Rabbit in it then few hundred years ago became Welsh Rarebit. One of those great dishes we were all taught in Cookery Classes at School to make no matter if you lived in England, Scotland, Ireland or Wales. A delicious quick Teatime or Lunch dish. Britain has such a fantastic selection of Cheeses, as to Ireland.

Could you try Irish/celtic traditional food? My family usually eats Colcannon. It's mashed potatoes, kale, and cabbage. But we add carrots, smoked paprika, and ridiculous amounts of Dublin cheese. I don't know how other families like theirs, but we eat ours traditionally and anually on Samhain day (Halloween's origin) and set plates out for our loved ones who passed. idk but it's a lot of fun if you throw in whatever's in the fridge and make a big pot to share with everyone. It's not always good 😭 but everyone's having too much fun to notice anyways 💃 lysm :D
