Hi! So I’ve been trying to export my SVG file with a transparent background. I check the view transparency grid but when I export, it still shows me a white background if I open it in in quick look. Its really throwing me off and I need a transparent background the same as a PNG would have one when exported

Why are you selecting separately got expand? Can you group it all together?

Thank you so much, I had to use an external font and it converted with a default one for some reasons, now it worked since i converted to outline

Yeah, this gets a lot of people. Better to be safe than sorry when it comes to relying on the system to pick up a font. At least it didn't default to Comic Sans!

Hi, i notice that you say not to tick responsive. Is this the best option for exporting an logo/artwork image to use on a web page? Or is it best to tick responsive? Also what if you wanted to use a lettermark, so a smaller size image in the header? Is it still best to not tick responsive? Thanks

I don't know what's happening. I'm trying to save an ai file as an svg to use in my CSS for a background image on a webpage, but no matter how I save it, and I've watched and read so many "best way to save SVGs" tutorials now, and nothing is working. It's incredibly pixelated and I'm so confused.

Yeah, the whole 'will it pull the font' issue has got plenty of people a cropper in my time, glad it helped you out.

Is it with the background or without ?

This will export whatever is on the artboard, so if set 'use artboard' and have transparent areas on artboard it should export those areas as transparent.
