This is the most criminally underrated channel on KZbin. Your explanation is sufficiently well analysed and nuanced.

This is so awesome! The writing is so concise and effective! I also think a video on the non-canonical book _Will to Power_ is very much called for here. If we are ever to square this circle between materialism and metaphysics, then it's very important to understand Nietzsche's _method_ . Although not officially published by him, the _Will to Power_ represents Nietzsche's thought process for arriving at his conclusions. His unpolished notes are therefore still valuable to this discussion.

Self-mastery is das ultimate form of power- Power itself. Life wants to build itself up into das heights with pillars and steps. A freeman is a warrior; He must require strength Otherwise he will never attain power.

"Will zur macht" is not exactly translates in to "will to power". German "machen" is "making". "Will to make" is more correct term. And everything is bit different when you understand in this way...
@garryjones17763 жыл бұрын
"Will to Might" would also make more sense than "to Power"
@garryjones17763 жыл бұрын
Nonetheless it's basically concept of having ability to do more, achieve more, having power over things and people, also oneself as means to self-overcoming
@WeltgeistYT3 жыл бұрын
Yeah German has a deeper more nuanced meaning. Which was probably Nietzsche’s intention. I still think power is a fine translation though
